My Fedora distro can't restart and stalls when it tries to shutdown with the auto update checked. So it never shuts down. I set up a cronjon to run dnf update to make sure that I don't need to uncheck the auto update option. Just a really silly thing that bothers me.

I mean. It kind of feels like you're trying to invalidate the feeling of being desired as something that is valid. In the proper context, aka consent, being desired by another person is actually fun.
One is not trying to make a connection with other humans by hooking up or trying to make a community by hooking up.

I'm not surprised to see this. It's also something I encountered in real life with someone. I just think it's a weird hangup. Like, very short term relationships are still relationships with obligations. I bought a homeless person some food on the street. I did not owe that homeless person anything but I had compassion and care for that person. Same thing for a hookup. Just because it's just sex doesn't mean I'm going treat them as disposable. I think it is itself individualistic to think as something that is short term as disposable and not something that still requires care and compassion.

They are really bad on COVID. In particular, they reduce masks to a personal choice that is ineffective at stopping the COVID pandemic and seem to believe that universal vaccination will stop the pandemic. The vaccine is great, it reduces deaths dramatically but it does not stop transmission. I understand masking is incredibly unpopular but they could have simply just not mentioned it.
Regardless, I think I made a pretty solid counterargument to the typical complaint about communism being authoritarian.

American Liberals are above all else defined by a smugness that is backed by a total and complete naiveness of the word without the inability to understand that Socialists/Communists still exist in the world outside of the US and China. American Liberals believe their is only one opposition to their views, the uneducated unwashed masses who is backward in character and without any virtue.
American Liberalism is largely a believe of credentialism that simultaneously somehow proves their moral virtue.
