Maas is over-saturated and sucking the oxygen out of the room for people writing better things in the same genre. l will* die on that molehill. Any day of the week. Twice on Saturdays.

And as a side note, I like trashy novels? But its disingenuous to throw Court of Mist and Fury up against Anna Karenina and say these are equal works. Like whatever you like—it's fun to read self indulgent stuff, but also remember it is good to challenge yourself a bit from time to time.

I also like terrible things. It doesn't make them less bad.

Sigh. Way to guarantee all the young adults are going to read the Twilight of shitty vanilla fairy melodramas.

Our principal had no sense of humor and would've either: sent you home, made you wear it inside out, or duct taped over the offening four letter words. God forbid you dye your hair or get a face piercing.

Why yes, I believe he is.

Its good for trans kids, but also we should be doing it just to normalize menstrual products. I remember being a young teen and driven to the grocery store so I could shuffle in, bent over double with pain to buy what I needed because my father didn't want to be seen touching the package. Seems a small price to destigmatize it.

What you are describing happens in primaries.

If you vote in the general for an R, oddly enough, politicians think you support the R ticket. Way to kneecap progressives guy.

It feels like they all expected life to neatly fall into place, and when it didn't they latched on to any narrative that externalized the blame in a way that gave them permission to lash out. Can't get a girlfriend? Must be the epidemic of miserable crazy cat ladies. Can't get a promotion? Must be all the DEI policies. The hate i think they use to shore up their fragile self esteem.

I do think his base has grown with previously non-voting incel types. I have some young male relatives who paid no attention in 16 or 20 who are all in on maga now. The grievance shtick seems to really speak to them.

In college I took a 100-level western ancient literature course that examined the origins of the text and sources of the bible. Simple facts did fantastic work of dismantling the 'infallibility' of the work. Can't imagine a faster way to make a generation of atheists.

He also can't keep cool when it's somebody like a woman or minority 'challenging' him and his team knows this does not make him more palatable to independents.

He'll hold off and try and hide behind attack ads for as long as possible. Hoping something sticks with the public that he can focus on.
