Maybe that request for a compressor should not have been rejected.

My partner's ex is like this. She claims that he used to be nice but I've only ever known him as an absolute failure. I can't imagine him as anything other than a vibrating ball of undirected rage. He spends most of his time being angry that he can't get a better job, but he's totally unprepared to do anything that might help him get a better job by getting training in something.

I'm going to ask Jeeves

Why do so many women want their husbands to be Irish?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 hours ago

I'm a bit confused and concerned about why people would think that their partner would be able to find out who they voted for. Isn't it well known that elections are private?

Well Concord was mostly for business people so they weren't buying their own tickets. Which was ultimately their downfall because a company would just decide to spend less money and make their employees sit on a plane for longer, it wasn't really a personal choice the passenger was making.

I've read that comment five times and I have absolutely no idea what you're trying to say.

I love her Fujitsu postal bug truther stance. It's so wonderfully unhinged!

As far as I am aware she has never publicly made any statement about the post office scandal. I can imagine that if she did make a statement it would not be very coherent, but since I do not believe one has been made I'm not sure what you are referring to.

Given how Starmer's neolib Labour

You need to look up neoliberalism because you clearly don't know what it is.

decided they want to be the Truss/Sunak Tories on policy

What? Seriously what the actual hell does that mean? Truss didn't even have any policies she was only around for about 4 minutes. Meanwhile Sunak's policies altered depending on who the last person he talked to was.

she has a non-0 chance of becoming PM this decade!

The conservatives lost the election because they dicked around with the economy, slashed social benefits, messed about during the worst cost of living crisis in a generation, and engaged in culture war nonsense rather than actually dealing with the very real crisis that was unfolding in front of them. She is literally more of the same, an extremist who is constantly going off on her hunt to eradicate "wokism". Which is the evil boogeyman of the hard right.

So because she's the worst example of the previous administration, she's going to become PM. Are you drunk?

The only way the conservatives are going to get back into power is if they convince everyone that they've got rid of all of the extremist rubbish, and are now capable of acting like a real political party with adults. Electing an extremist is pretty much the opposite of doing that.

No he won't. They've got four seats, one of which doesn't really count because his support is just a holdover from him being a conservative, that's not exactly the makings of a political dynasty.

Also can Nigel Farage even be arsed?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 hours ago

There's plenty of conservative voters who are not raging racists. At least there used to be, since there isn't much space for them in the party anymore they've gone to the Lib Dems for the most part

I love how they are not even considering redirecting to the correct number. Nope, you've got to learn the culture or die.

Only if Americans can explain why they cannot pronounce a simple four-letter word correctly.

When you reveal a spoiler the black rectangles go away and it then renders the text in white, but on a white background (light coloured theme) The text renders is exactly the same colour as the background and so you can not see it unless you highlight the post, this renders the background of the post as light grey and there is just about enough contrast difference to now read the text.

When spoiler text is revealed it should render in the same colour as normal text. I'm not sure why it's white.

See images below for demonstration.

spoiler text is hidden

spoiler text has been revealed but is invisible

text post is highlighted and now you can see the spoiler text rendered in white
