Important note: only Severin sells the 8-disc collection. Everyone else has 7 discs and are missing two movies.

The state of movies on physical media in Sweden is now that all major electronics retailers have dropped it. They used to have a pick 2 for 10 type basket over by the video games but thats gone. The really big grocery stores sometimes has a shelf with 5 or 6 of the latest releases usually only stocked with dvd and bluray. I basically have to go to second hand stores to browse physical media. So I order all new releases online. Don’t let this sad state of affairs happen to you!

A lot less since I started using docker instead of running separate vms for everything. Less systems to update is bliss.

My favorite secondhand store advertised the Fu Manchu movies so I snagged all of them and added a few more discs for shits and giggles. Luckily I have a weeks vacation ahead of me and can actually watch some of them now! 🥳🍺
The UHDs are new, the BDs are second hand. The only blind buy here is Knock at the cabin. Looking forward to rewatching Barbie.
I may have bought some of them just because they were cheap. 😂

I listened to a podcast recently that recommended McPherson so pretty excited for that. Also embarrassed to admit these are all blind buys but yeah, I have never seen a Wong Kar Wai movie! 😱
With free esxi over, not shocking bit sad, I am now about to move away from a virtualisation platform i’ve used for a quarter of a century.
Never having really tried the alternatives, is there anything that looks and feels like esxi out there?
I don’t have anything exceptional I host, I don’t need production quality for myself but in all seriousness what we run at home end up at work at some point so there’s that aspect too.
