I mean I could just spray a hose up there, couldn't I?

We had the roof replaced two years ago. I believe they redid all the flashing at that point. So there's a chance this could be old? If the leak is resolved, which I'll verify, do we have to do anything to the wood or are we good?

Renovating the bathroom and found these dark patches in the joists and roof lumber surrounding the old vent pipe. The PVC part is new.

Anything bad here? Anything we need to address?

Bathroom renovation revealed this black staining in the ceiling lumber next to a vent pipe. Is it a problem? (The PVC pipe is new.)

I seriously suck at Lemmy. I deleted this post I guess?

I'm cleaning this cabinet above the range/micro and noticed this mark on the back. I mostly keep cooking oils, vinegars, etc in here. Does this look serious?

Update: well it ain't pretty, but it shouldn't burn the house down. For anyone concerned, my electrician approves. Thank you all for your help today.

The racing season is over for me and now I'll spend the rest of the year building up miles as I try to hit my goal distance for the 2023. I'm trying not to lose any of the gains from this year by maintaining two speed workouts per week while also increasing mileage. The objective is to avoid injury by doing shorter speed working and slowing way down on the easy miles.

What did you get?

This is why I avoid other sports. Or hobbies. Or relationships. Or proper meals. Can't get distracted!

When our first child learned to use the potty we used diapers during naps and overnight. The nap diapers faded after a month or so, but the overnight diapers took like a year. What's worse is that he started pooping only when he had the diaper on, usually in the morning before getting out of bed. This was... not ideal.

I imagine that if we just ditch the diapers entirely then we would have a few days of wetting the bed, but maybe that's worth it? Or does it become a persistent problem? Or does bed wetting at this stage create unexpected problems? Any experience or advice would be great!

Malazan Book of the Fallen is one of the best brick walls I've ever put my head through.
