The Marvels isn't even that bad. It's a decent movie

Fern and Stark are technically in the 18-20 age range though. And fairly teenage-y. But I agree it does explore a lot of more "mature" themes.

That's strange. I'd be interested to know how and what you searched for so I can maybe improve how easy it is for people to find [email protected].

It really is. I've bought a few to give out as inexpensive gifts to friends and family that might be interested.

  • Ultimates #3: This is like the only consistently good marvel comic right now imo. Haven't read it yet but looking forward to it.
  • The Power Fantasy #1: Solid first issue from Kieron Gillen

Just based on your recommendation I will probably check out Falling In Love On The Path To Hell

Maybe it's just the communities I frequent, but I think it did carry over. There's a lot of sarcastic comments, holier than thou comments, and meme comments on Lemmy just like Reddit.

Edit: Also, a lot of negativity.

Read it. “Oh shit!”

😂

Geiger

I've been meaning to read the Ghost Machine stuff that Image is releasing. Is Geiger the best place to start?

Oh yes. I've been meaning to read this for a while now. Jason Aaron is hit or miss for me, but I'll definitely be checking this out sooner rather than later.

I've recently been reading Rick Remender's Sacrificers and man it's so good! Love the world building and some great characters. Max Fiumara's art is absolutely top tier.

I'm curious what are some of your favourites? Would love some recommendations. Other lesser known ones I can recommend are Wes Craig's Kaya and Stephanie Phillip's Grim.

Genuine question. How representative is anime corner to the tastes of the broader viewer base?

  • The Last Mermaid #5
  • Absolute Power #1
  • Birds of Prey #11
  • Scarlett #2
  • Public Domain #6

I'm trying to understand how post thumbnails work. It seems like other instances like lemmy.world will automatically pull relevant thumbnail images and store them locally:

thumbnails on lemmy.world

but for the same community on lemm.ee it doesn't:

no thumbnails on lemm.ee

No real problem if this isn't supported by lemm.ee, but I just want to confirm I'm not missing any settings on my end.

Hi all, when I first joined Lemmy (and the fediverse broadly) I was interested in having discussions around animated media. Unfortunately it seems all the existing communities were either dead, inactive, had a slightly different (usually narrower) scope, or some combination of the 3.

As such I've taken over an inactive Animation community and hope to help build something fun for all animation fans! Please take a look and subscribe if interested:
