Maybe I have misunderstood this article, but basically it summs up to Chinese companies are still doing business in the USA after the USA asked them to stop, right? Should this not be rewritten as USA companies are still buying products/services from Chinese companies even though the FCC has told USA companies to stop doing that? I mean if the USA is banning these Chinese companies it cannot exactly ask the companies to make sure they are banning themselves.
Here we go again...
I feel like this goes back to the old saying: If you are not paying for it, then you are not the customer.
This would also have the effect that the USA work force is mainly useful for low wage labor, would it not? Basically turning the USA back into a third world country that can be exploited for cheap labor. But I guess that is what so many USA citizens would like and vote for 🤷♂️
All is fair in love and war. If you did not want to fight as though it were a war, then it would have been better not to send over a declaration of war.
Nice detail is that somehow they end up being owned by a Hong Kong Ltd. - Riddick3001
Just out of interest, where did you hear that the boats from this shadow fleet are registered by a company in Hong Kong? There would be some irony if China would use this as the final excuse to take over Hong Kong, to "clean up the mess" that Hong Kong companies have been causing internationally.
The simple answer: no. This so called "trade war" is more of a meme on Chinese social media than an actual concern. Most Chinese people (at least the ones I can interact with directly) are more wondering when the USA will stop shooting itself in the foot.
It is hardly a surprise that this is happening. Is it really possible for the EU to exist in this political climate without any major foreign ally?
What a surprise, who would have thought that Ukraine would turn to other potential allies after having a fallout with the USA. (\s) It is almost like the USA is sending extra business to China's doorstep (and here I thought the USA was trying to curtail China's influence world wide). But I guess the USA is really just trying to help China grow faster and expand their international fame.
Sometimes I am happy to be able to say that I am not surprised by a piece of news and for once it does not mean in a political terror/economic destruction/environmental eradication way.
