Nice shot! Looks similar to the Riverside (CA) area.

For anyone not getting this reference it's a fascinating, but sad story: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Howe_Lovatt

UN aid operations halt in Gaza after Israeli evacuation orders: Official

A top UN official tells reporters the repeated evacuation orders have upended the organisation’s aid operations.

That looks like a blast, but I'd make sure the weather reports were favorable first...

Unfortunately you're correct. Even if not everyone is funneled into the prison system, their belongings get taken away and/destroyed. Some even lose beloved pets. I imagine it's extremely demoralizing having your life broken down to zero and having to rebuild again and again.

Either we get affordable code-compliant housing or we get affordable shanty towns.

Everyone who gives weapons to Israel (or money to buy weapons) did this. I finally got angry enough to write Biden a letter, but who knows if he actually read it or not (probably not, but I did get a reply). It didn't seem to help much. All the protests aren't helping much. What can the people do to stop the govenment's support of Israel?

Definitely this. It seems MVs with a leveling system either aren't popular, or are too hard to balance. Plus there's the giant inventory of weapons and gear that would probably be too time-consuming to create for most game devs.

Thanks! Yeah, it is familiar...

From a brief hypnagogic vision.

Here in the US the trash just piles up in landfills or gets shipped elsewhere. Some does get recycled, but not nearly enough.

In other sectors, we've got things like factories polluting poor minorities, and an airforce that can't stop letting their forever chemicals leak into the environment...

Sounds like things are generally more progressive in Sweden, although the recent trends you mentioned are worrisome. It's unfortunate some people are willing to sabotage our future for a slighly more comfortable present :/

I heard that too, but I'm no historian. What certainly is different now is having the internet; everyone who cares is staying informed and seeing what Israel is doing to Palestinians in almost real time. Not that we can do much about it.

I suggest writing some letters to choice politicians.… Maybe you can get past the thick, dead tissue surrounding what remains of their hearts.

Hi,

I can't seem to find an answer to this. I have the navigation bar configured to recieve upward swipe gestures: switch app; home screen; and back. (I don't like accidental button presses when typing.) Unfortunately, swiping upward along the bottom right also takes me to the home screen. I'm constantly doing by accident.. Is there a fix?

Thanks~

Made from summed inversions and a basic kaleidoscopic ifs.

Hi,

I'm not new to Lemmy, but I've only recently gotten Voyager (+ a brand new acct) and it's pretty confusing. I'm looking for an option in the app that shows all possible communities for a given instance. Is that possible?

Thanks~
