Nothing will happen. I appreciate the optimism, but you’re kicking your acceptance further down the road. If they were actually going to hold the fucker to account, they’d have done more by now. At this point? Attempting to prosecute the president-elect just weeks before he steps into power to ‘save America’? That’s just giving the conspiracy nuts validation to start shooting.

He’s got you by the pussy I’m afraid.

You make a good point. I haven’t gone back to minecraft because I know there’s going to be more changes made in the imminent future, and I’d rather play a complete game. I picked up Stardew about a month before the Ginger Island update, so it really felt like a complete experience.

In summary “continue to play by the rules of a system that is under the full control of fascists, and hope the world can hold out long enough to run another uninspired campaign helmed by an out of touch, centre-right millionaire”

Was hoping for something a little more inspiring…

I don’t think it will ever fizzle out. It’s an amazing game with a simple premise.

I do worry that the desire to not let a game be done could lead to burnout from the audience though. I left minecraft behind because every update added less and less of substance, and asked me to come back and do something that didn’t really enhance the experience of my “completed” survival world.

I understand that minecraft has not slipped in popularity for the masses, but for me it’s enough of a pain that I don’t play any more.

Stardew Valley is great, and the updates we have received add a lot of content to the game, but it’s all stuff that makes an 11/10 game… still an 11/10. I would love the effort to go into Haunted Chocolatier, or other great projects.

If I make plans for a holiday, put down deposits on hotels, and print an itinerary for my time abroad, it’d be a bit pointless to “admit” I was going on holiday.

Is this news? They presented their plan to destroy America, and are going to implement it. What did people expect?

When someone tells you they are a fascist, believe them the first time.

It’s a nice idea, but a design feature built in to most countries is that the majority of people are too poor to skip a day of work. Losing their job, or simply not being paid for a days work could tip people into starvation, default on existing debts, or loss of access to expensive medication.

Anyone high enough on the pyramid to be the target of such a protest does not care if the economy tanks. They control the country now, they can just defund education even more than it already is to line their pockets.

The Democrats abandoned their base today. Harris did not intend to turn out for the party at her own College. Key members began to leave before the final numbers were called. No speech. No words of comfort or support for the 50-ish percent of voters that tried to push back against fascism.

It really feels like Harris was only speaking for the people as long as she was winning, and when the tide turned she fucked off. It supports the narrative of ‘vote for me or else’.

This does not build trust in the party, and if the world ever sees another US presidential election, I hope people remember how they have been treated.

The amount of interviews I’ve seen where people say “yeah, he has some concerning talking points, but he promised a good economy” boil my fucking blood. The safety of half the population for the empty promise of jobs.

Can’t wait til they somehow spin the failed economy against the Dems again in four years.

Glad they made this so far in advance of the 10th anniversary, but that’s years away! Right? It can’t have been a decade already, can it?

“Some of you may die, but that is a risk I am willing to make”

When can we feed Elon to a dragon?

I don’t know about deserving. The devs weren’t the ones calling the shots on all the reasons that Concord failed. They worked hard to create a game that many people said was enjoyable despite its flaws. Now they are being sacrificed at the altar of AAA Publishing so that execs can avoid consequences for their poor choices.
