I wanted a "satchel" for school, and the lovely item I bought was named a "men's messenger bag". I've never heard that term before!

The differences between it and a "women's purse" (WP):

  1. It has a more comfortable shoulder strap than the dainty ones on WPs.
  2. Its morphology is pretty square. WPs have fewer right angles.

That's all I got so far.

I do prefer this style to WPs. It fits my look. I don't have a problem with style differences. I just think "men's purse" is a more accurate term; but I'm sure that name scared the American focus groups lol.

Well, maybe my bag is differentiated in that it can carry a laptop. Can WPs do that?
