I've been reading some discussions this week about fake polls claiming Republicans are winning to make Dems think there's no point in voting. Apparently it was a technique used in a previous recent election? It would explain all the results I've seen in the last few days showing them with a strong lead, where a week or two ago other polls showed an even race. Doesn't really matter though, everyone should remember that the only thing that counts is getting out and casting your vote no matter what the polls might suggest.

Just... wow. I don't even enable notifications that I've opened an email.
That's rich coming from the guy whose entire platform is one big political bias against free speech. Seems like Musk's whole outlook is "I'm going to move people to a colder planet where nothing grows and we can't even breathe, so why should I worry about trashing this one?"
Also, when is his daddy going to teach him how to shave?
Did you know that, by default, your email sends information to mailing list platforms about your reading activity? The platform gets to know if you opened the message, and often how far along you've read in it.
What is this shitty email program they're talking about? Sure, they can embed a 1-pixel tracking image to see when you opened the email (if you allow auto-loading images), but how would they know how much you've read unless some incredibly horrible email program actively sends out that data?
What's wrong with Thunderbird? Surely you don't use Outlook by choice?
Voting third-party could lead to Trump winning. He has already stated he will cut all support to Ukraine, which also leads to genocide, not to mention what he is threatening to do to everyone of color here at home. Face it, no matter how you vote, you're going to be a party to genocide. The only available option is to vote in favor of the least amount of damage being threatened by all parties. Yes, even Jill Stein is a problem here because her stated purpose is to spoil the Democrat vote (which leads me to distrust her "concerns" over Gaza even if she does have a history of voting against Israel).
Besides which, if you're a US citizen then you've been a party to genocide your entire life, between our direct interference in the elections of other countries, to straight-up installing leaders of our choice, to simply withholding aid to civilians because our government didn't want to step on any toes. You're living the good life because our nation kills people for profit, so don't pretend like you're not already a party to it.
Anyone else think that's kinda... weird?
This always cracks me up. He's mad about big tech censoring political information, but wants HIS political information censored. Probably not even bright enough to realize how pathetic he sounds.
Agreed that we don't know unless he's given the chance to try something, but it's not exactly something I'd like to "fuck around and find out". There have been a lot of reports from people who were on his team during his last term that are talking about how he was talked down from extreme actions, and this time his people already know what they're getting in to and are ok with it. I can only hope Harris can be better than Biden, but we do know Trump was willing to let his own nation (California) burn just because they didn't all vote for him.
Trump stated earlier this year that if re-elected, he would ask Israel to make the Gaza issue "go away" in under a week. It's one thing to be supplying the weapons, but quite another to have the most powerful country give their approval to do whatever it takes to end the conflict to Israel's benefit. There was a Palestinian newspaper article I saw a couple months ago that gave the opinion that under Harris they would get bombed, but under Trump they would cease to exist. Of course when I linked that in a similar discussion I was accused a picking my sources, because hey what does a Palestinian newspaper know about Palestine?
Really now? So you're just going to pretend that the current issue is completely the fault of the Biden administration? You're going to pretend that Republicans aren't also sitting in Congress continually voting in favor of these funds and weapons? And you're going to pretend that Trump hasn't already pledged to make things so much worse?
Your only goal here is to constantly point out that Biden is doing bad things and convince others to not vote for Harris. Which means your goal is to convince voters to vote in support of Trump, or not vote at all which still provides a boost for Trump. You pretend that you care about what is happening to Palestinians and yet your thinly-veiled goal is to support a candidate who wants to makes things MUCH worse for their whole country. You argue that anyone who doesn't see things your way is arguing in favor of genocide and keep trying to convince others that I have no interest in discussing the subject, yet here I am time after time directly discussing what the future could hold, but you yourself refuse to engage with anyone that won't go along with your strategy to make Harris look like the worst choice possible. Yeah the current US policy is really bad, I've never once denied that. Maybe you should stop denying that allowing Trump back in office would be by his own words much much worse. An actual discussion means talking about both options, not continually screaming the same thing like a broken record while ignoring what the alternative could bring.
One can hope, but I suspect nobody will be announcing a victor on Tuesday night.
