That whould typically involve unions. No need for them here though.
Unions are great for a lot of things but they'd be less inclined to help on this as they, don't all support the same parties, and probably dont want their workers to violate any contracts as it would damage future negotiations.
I think isn't a matter of labour and would be stonger without unions. It needs to be from the people.

I'm aware of this organization but other than raising awareness what does the organization do with the money donated to it and how open is it with its spending?
So by giving that 200 check to the NPD. I'd be forcing the Ford government to also give money to the NPD?
What's the biggest FU to Ford we can spend that money on? Should we just toss it to the NDP?

I agree with the need to end Fords madness, but why does a petition need my phone number? It's a required field? No thanks.
Anyway you could could petition to for with every signature in Ontario on it and it'll still get ignored. Fords getting kick backs from road construction contracts. He knows ripping out bike lanes means there's just going to be more contracts when sensible leaders take over to put them all back in. Even if he loses the next election he's going to make a killing on this.
Though it's certainly effective. Unless somone very influential happens to be on lemmy looking at comments on memes I don't think that idea is going to get to them.
What I've seen is letter writing campaigns. The idea of getting a large volume of people tonwrite their MPs all at once makes it harder for them to just ignore everyone. Somone whould provide a template with not only the nature of our request but things the mp can actually do to advance the idea. They sometimes actually want to help but don't know how. This is why you need somone with some degree of knowledge to write the template.
A flyer/poster campaign can help as well. This is good for raising general awareness. Though its more effective if done during a specific time prior to an action like the letter writing campaign or a protest march. Even those who can't partake in the event can then at least promote it. Though I suggest providing guidelines around ethical flyer distribution. The advantage is that you can get your message to places like libraries and community centers where more civic minded people will see it.
Also there is protests, marches ect. But there are so many of those happening that I feel they often get ignored. The logistics are a pain, amd if not done right they can go bad.
Also is there a place organizing these things? Do they need donations or volunteers?
So with that in mind if anything like that is happening, link your memes to it in some way. It will turn a complaint into action.
What's the call to action here? When I see content like this I think it's not enough to just say. "Fist past the post bad ranked voting good." Many of us agree already. Tell us what to do about it.
At very least toss us a website, but there's better we can do.

nearly 16 are now "infected" I've been studying this thing for like 2 years, my scientist mentioned they could "solve" it some time ago. But now even they have been adding to the garden. I'm wondering if my curiosity has doomed them all.
Ah perhaps I'm not used too that where I am. I appreciate unions truly, and belive we need more. But the ones I've been in have been nearly as corrupt as the politicians. Often run by the retired and wealthy making decisions on behalf of those still working. Often bad ones.
