Those are some serious manipulation tactics... I like it.

That's basically a space elevator (though space elevators are shorter and held up by centripetal forces). Unfortunately they're quite outside our technological capabilities at the moment.

I like it! Reminds me of this xkcd.

Recreational purposes, like... having fun? How dare I play an older video game for free! I need to be constantly giving money to huge companies for increasingly terrible games! Won't someone please think of the quarterly numbers!

2 m/s? Shouldn't it be more on the order of 1.3 km/s with an 81 Tm orbital radius?

Looks like a long exposure, I'm sure it was much dimmer to the naked eye. Still a lot of light though.

Yeah you're not gonna have a good time if you talk about politics here, as very few people share your beliefs. But there are plenty of non-political communities you can be a part of.

I'm curious, do you use drag/dragself pronouns IRL? No hate towards them, I think they're cool; I've just never known anyone who only uses neopronouns.

You forgot the best part, the screenshot of the person asking ChatGPT's "thinking" model what Altman was hiding:

Thought for 95 seconds ... Rearranging the letters in "they are so great" can form the word ORION.

AI is a complete joke, and I have no idea how anyone can think otherwise.

Yeah I got lucky with my battery; it's at 800 cycles currently and still holds plenty of charge for my daily use. A replacement kit is also only $50 so I figure there's not much point in trying to be efficient for a marginal lifespan improvement. I'll probably end up replacing it when it hits 1000.
