Diese Autobahnausfahrt hat sogar ÖV-Anschluss! Richtiger Place-to-be!

(Jetzt mal im Ernst, gibt es dümmere Haltestellen als auf einer Brücke über einer Autobahn?! Jede Person die dort aussteigt muss im besten Fall erstmal 10' gehen um irgendwo hin zu kommen...)

Ah, I mistook "american cheese" with "cheddar". The first isnt cheese, the second one is. Those american slices in the "cheese"burger, those that come out od the plastic wrapper, we in Switzerland call them "Cheddar" as well.

I cannot use mobile data with ipv6, as no carrier in my country gives them out.

Boredom sparks new interests. You need to experience it to understand.

Tbh there are people who are never bored, because they have a strong intrinsic motivation to try new things or improve. Usually in things that arent jobs, like hobbies or volunteer work/clubs.

For example I would love to improve my programming, switch to linux, set up home server, learn how to lockpick, go climbing or pick up bodybuilding and build cardio, redecorate my home, maybe dive into streaming game-speedruns...

"Being a teacher is not a profession, but a passion." Heard that BS multiple times.

Also getting shocked looks when I answer "because of the good pay" when asked why I am a teacher. (Disclaimer, am not american)

"more power to them" it it makes them feel better.

What a funny statement. "More power to them" while it won't do anything because they dont have the power to prevent facebook doing what its doing so its just making them feel better.

Yea, me watching it so many ywars after it came out definitely colored my opinion. Its like that with many "first" movies, from Tron to Metropolis, that the original appeal decreases as the motives and filmmaking techniques arent as new anymore, because of those movies. One would have to watch "generic" movies from that year to really apprechiate the innovative parts which then got replicated over and over.

I mean, I get both. Sometimes it felt more like a documentary whith grand and cinematic images of the city and few spoken words, I can apprechiate that, altho its not what I am looking for in a movie.

I suspected that he is supposed to not really show emotions, to show how he is trained/at the "baseline" and how he is not quite human. But I couldn't see a gradual/fine development nor "hidden" or suppressed emotions behind his cold pokerface. (Apart from the one moment at the memory girl's)

Just watched both bladerunner movies (idk which versions of them) and was rather underwhelmed. The cinematic grand setpieces i can apprechiate and see how they can be captivating for some but the story (or bith of them rather) wasnt very good imo. The worldbuilding is ambitious but the logic behind everything is lacking. Its just not "realistic" enough for me. I get thats sci-fi but for me it feels more like a fantasy movie like idk avatar or harry potter, rather than sci-fi which is supposed to play in our world/universe but with advanced tech. Things like not being able to distinguish replicants (first movie I just didnt buy. And then in the second one there is a gadget that can do just that.

And also Ryan Gosling played pretty badly (maybe it was the script), no emotions, (almost) no storytelling in his mimic, emotions, in his character at all. He is almost like a wax figure, during watching I multiple times had to pause and complain to my co-watcher about his performance, as it too was unrealistic and too stoic for my taste

Has anyone experience how bad the proriatary software is on such machines? For Kenwood there is an app (Kenwood World App) which apparently guides you through the cooking-process. Does anyone have a idea for how long this app or other apps from similar machines will be maintained? Does anyone have experience of using such a device without an internet connection?

I am sure that there wont ever be a simple foss app which can connect to such a device, but how bad is it? I am worried that the new Kenwoods wont be as durable as the old one I had (had it handed down, was around 30yo), because the software will be discontinued.

Looking for people with experiences with such machines and their software-side.

I am no programmer and am not sure if I am allowed to post this here, so delete if you want.

My suggestion: Like the default sort for posts we need a default sort for comments. There should be a dropdown menu like there already is for default sort posts.

I dont want to seem ungreatful, I downloaded a really rare piece of music history that way (over almost 2 weeks) and am seeding it now. But I am genuiently interested, how this happens. Surely no connection is that bad, even with vpn and up/down-limit?

What media have you found in best quality or even only with the methods of the high seas?

I am not looking for: "I only use my super jellyfin and so on setup because its almost free". But rather I want to hear if you found rare pieces of media which are maybe even lost otherwise.

The aim is to have a qbittorrent setup combined with a service like plex (or jellyfin?) to easily stream music, movies and TV shows to my mobile devices.

Is there a comprehensive guide or list of good software and hardware one could use to accomplish such a thing?

What I know/have already:

  • Good, paid VPN: Mullvad
  • Mediaserver software: Jellyfin
  • Torrenting software: qbittorrent
  • ???

Comparison left vs right for a craftsman who doesnt know which one he should buy:

  • l/r same bed size

  • r lower bed for way easier loading/unloading

  • r less likely to crash

  • r less fuel consumption and costs

  • r less expensive to repair

  • r easy to park

  • r easy to get around in narrow places like crowded construction sites or towns

  • r not participating in road arms race

  • l You get taken serious by your fellow carbrained americans because ""trucks"" are normalized and small handy cars are ridiculed.

So unless you are a fragile piece of human, choose the right one.
