I think due licencing issue of x86 there could be problems. Maybe we need new architecture or RISC-V

Are there no any EU alternative to those gaming hardware company? If we start now making GPU and CPU from scratch, how far behind are we?

There are also "easy" Arch like endeavour or cachy, but yeah, for users like him is Arch based not the best choice

But keep in mind Mint is a non rolling distro, it means you have to upgrade to a newer Version in a periodic time (like win XP to win vista). Rolling release distro (like Arch) doesnt have a Version.

If you have time to learn how your distro works: Archlinux. If you just want to easily install a distro and everything just works: Linux Mint.

Hi folks,

I would like to build a streaming pc. It should be a streaming PC on which you stream 1080p content via twitch without a camera. Beside this it should record gameplay (1080p) and do video editing (1080p). I already have a PC for the games. The question is, can I realize my project with an AMD APU (AV1 hardware encoding)? Are there already AMD APUs that support AV1? If so, can you recommend one? I would like to do without a GPU, as the PC should be as small as possible for space reasons and I am thinking of a Mini-ITX build. I don't want to run 4k content now or in the near future.

Thanks for your advice.
