I had one years ago with internet explorer that ended up being because "console.log" was not defined in that browser unless you had the console window open. That was fun to troublshoot.

Yeah. We have a bunch of clients so I can be on several projects at a time. And it's a privately owned company that, to my knowledge, the owner has no intention of selling.

I got insanely lucky wit my job. I responded to an email that came through my college CS department about a potential job and got an in-person interview with the CEO of a tiny company nobody has heard of. The guy's personality made it easier to talk to him despite my anxiety.

Instead of the bullshit riddles that every other tech job interview has, he sent me home with a simple assignment to make a simple webpage where a user could log in.

After submitting that, I kinda forgot about it until several month later when I randomly decide to check my school email account and found an email from him that was almost a month old (my PC wasn't working before that, and I didn't need to use it much at the time).

I replied just in time. 12 years later I'm the most senior developer.

I think this is the only thread where I actually haven't seen any of the games before.

Another game I enjoyed was The Eternal Castle (remastered). It's a remake of a game from 1987. The animation is great and the visual style is really cool.

I always like to give a mention to Your Spider. There are very few reviews (one of which are mine), but the game definitely deserves more attention.

Edit: Shit I misread that comment.

I open the text file where my powershell history is stored when the command I want isn't recent enough.

The first time I saw gameplay footage of the original Doom, I thought it looked almost photorealistic. I must've been like 6 or 7 at the time.

Who else edited the hand-pointer cursor to have the middle finger up? I know it wasn't just me.

I just got a bill for a Wayfair credit card that was issued by Citi bank that I did not apply for. I never even shopped on that website.

I tried contacting both Citi bank and Wayfair, but since I don't have the full account number, I couldn't get past Citi's automated phone menu.

Wayfair's phone system was a fucking nightmare getting transferred to various departments, but eventually transferred me to a foreign call center where they insisted that they needed my social security number and birth date to file a report, but I'm not giving them that.

The best thing is that the scammer managed to get a higher credit limit than I was able to get on my own card.

For example, I saved a bunch of these small cardboard sheets that were separating the rows of cans in a box of cat food.

Add some glue and you have a little tent for your cat.

After I showed her one of the bird videos, she now eagerly waits while I turn on the tablet in the morning and she watches me open Youtube and pick a video.

Sometimes she accidentally closes the video, or opens the comments and then I need to step in to make sure she doesn't post any offensive comments.

I don't remember why I originally bothered to read this manual 25 years ago, but I ended up reading it to enjoy the jokes and humorous writing it contained.

Hoping for a few more years.

I've been trying to avoid shopping on Amazon for several years. For computer parts, I look at Newegg. For pet stuff, Chewy.

But what about all the miscellaneous stuff? What other websites do you trust when it comes to shopping online?
