We use paper vote, envelope and transparent box with people watching the whole voting process the whole day (with rotation). Some are neutral (any citizen living in the town can do it), some represent one candidate. Everybody observe the others and the voters. They count the amount of people who vote and will compare it later in the counting process.

For the counting process, in the same room, we put several table, the transparent box with all vote that nobody let unwatched is emptied on several tables and counted by group of people (neutral) and observed by anyone in the room (candidate representant, officials and anybody .. i did it once after i voted... it was really well organized).

The result are counted several time by different people and amount are manually checked by everybody : amount of voter = sum of votes for one candidate + other candidates + invalid vote (paper with invalid mark, wrong size, wrong color, white paper, ....) The results are also noted by at least two people that compare their total number each 10 results counted... Any deviation and you restart the current packet.

The sum of the sum are also checked and all the party (neutral, candidate representant, observers) must agree with the result. Then the head of the vote bureau will transmit the result to a dedicated and secured line at region level, who will also check the number with the official numbers of voter and will compile all the towns result give and report back at country level.

These numbers are also displayed in a dedicated website as soon they are received so we know the first result less that 2~3 hours after vote closure. The votes are then secured by a justice officer and be at disposal if a reclamation raise. We can also cross check the official numbers from the website with the one from our town. They always matches which is good!

No electronic counting, no postal vote (as we can’t be sure a husband voted for his wife), you have to vote in person without pressure from outside, everything can be checked by anybody without the risk of altering the result. We do that since centuries and our election have always been trusted by the population and the candidates.

It is still a valid concern here and it’s why we still vote physically.

We also put our paper choice in a envelope, operation done from a one person polling booth. People in the voting room make sure everyone, including couples, are not watching or forcing a choice to another.

The vote is always done the Sunday to give the time for the most people to go voting (a lot of enterprises and shops are closed the Sunday). And if you work, your boss can’t block you to leave few hours for voting.

Rire en breton.

Tres heureux cet été de revenir en Bretagne après de nombreuses années et découvrir que tous les grand axes étaient toujours gratuits!

Did you imagine what could be the country with JD Vance as president if Trump die of old (or fat) age?

I find this even more disturbing than Trump being president.

I remember and will never forget the media, politic and the following "french frog white flag bashing" when we told you the reasons invoked for this war were bullshit...

But more important, I will always remember the deadly attacks we got in our country following the global destabilisation you created in the world. They couldn’t access USA so they targeted the Europe instead... Charlie Hebdo, the Bataclan and many more...

I have participated to a retrospective meeting leaded by the colonel in charge of Paris when several sites and the Bataclan were attacked. And how he had to choose where to send the help and how many vehicules he could afford, trying to know if another attack will happens in another site. In this meeting I’ve also heard the phone call of people crying for help and being executed by these fanatics...

Knowing that 6 days before I was in this same fucking place listening Nobuo Uematsu playing final fantasy music... I’m sure you understand why I will never forget that.

I’m lucky this concert was not on the same day of the football/soccer game they initialy targeted but couldn’t due to the enhanced security this day (a minister was there with my company boss and some others colleagues). So they started to travel in the city, shooting at random (like bars) before entering in the concert room and massacre everybody inside...

All of that for the $ of your dear GOP members... The fucking $ you put in all conversations like it’s the ultimate goal of a life. More important than a life... A child life in a school for example...

Please USA, clean your shit, i’m sick seeing the world being impacted by your politics...

When does it started ? Do you have law prohibiting smoking in public place like restaurant, transports, nigth club, office, etc ?

Because, while it’s true we see less smokers in movies, it’s the first time i hear US having a anti-smoking culture... Note that I include drugs like weed in the smoking culture and we heard a lot from it recently. And only from US.

On my country, since the 90’, it’s forbiden to smoke in public place, in the office, etc. They also increased a lot it’s price bia taxes, put labels on the packaging and the amount of smokers reduced a lot since. But hollywood still represent us as smoker ^^

First time war?

It has always been like that and it’s a reason a war should be avoided when you don’t have the power to maintain your military and economic force...

And it’s exactly why main leaders of the worlds warned russia months before the invasion until the first day of the invasion: "Are you sure? You should not move so many troops near ukraine border for your ’exercice’ Because you have more too loose as a super-power country"

He didn’t listen so now pay back!

The frozen assets will be given back AFTER the war reparations costs have been assessed and paid in full by Russia... So they won’t see them before a long time...

Ho, sorry for my reaction

I see so many people not grasping how serious the situation is (or just saying: he’s jockiiiing) that my blood boil. Also because last summer, I saw my grandmother cry while she was remembering how she lost her sister during the first days of the WWII (killed in her house due to the bombing of the train station nearby). She was 5~6 yo and her sister 10yo. All of that because people didn’t react strongly enough to stop a party and a crazy man.

Good luck for the election
