If I borrowed your car and put sugar in the gas tank before giving it back, is it my fault or yours when the car shits itself to death while you're driving it?

Everyone has preferences, but you've done yourself a disservice not going back and finishing. OP's right calling them a cinematic triumph.

The man did in fact need to be stopped, but "shouldn't be deadly" is still potentially deadly. The dude might've had a heart condition, could've dropped dead right on the spot. Not worth risking for a baseball game, IMO.
