No. Atheists being skeptical of the baseless claim that God exists makes perfect sense, the gnostic claim that God at least provides a hypothesis is perfectly baseless.

There's nuance. Obviously, vote for the liberal over the fascist, it's not even close. However, the fascists are absolutely represented in government, while there's no leftist candidates to speak of. Leftists have to plug their nose and vote liberal, while fascists gleefully vote republican.

Voting is entirely for loss prevention, because ultimately it absolutely impacts minority groups and people who stand to lose a great deal by a republican victory. However, leftists will not be able to move America to the left by voting.

That's why grassroots movements and building up of parallel structures are so important for leftism, it cannot work within the confines of a 2 party Capitalist state, and must be built from the bottom up.

You're literally on one of the alternatives. FOSS is a rejection of the profit motive, and individual ownership of Capital. It is, quite literally, an anticapitalist statement. Are you under the impression you're on Reddit?

Money doesn't need to come from Capitalists, and again, Capitalists aren't doing the innovating. That's like saying the bread baker that fed the Engineer is doing the innovating, because without the bread baker, the Engineer couldn't innovate. Of course humanity is interlinked, no one man is an island, but that doesn't mean labor performed by one person is actually labor performed by another.

I'll make it simple for you, and give you 2 choices.

Factory 1: Capitalist owner, non-owner workers. The only voice workers have is to either get a new job, or unionize.

Factory 2: Workers are the owners, and thus production is democratized. One of the workers is elected as a manager, and may be stripped of power by the rest of the workers at any time.

Which one is better?

To circle back: what you listed is a very, very narrow vision of what Socialism can mean. Socialism is Worker Ownership of the Means of Production, and can be just as varied as Capitalist organization. Are you going to say that Sweden is the same as Pinochet's Chile, just because both were/are Capitalist? Absurd.

Those aren't the only alternatives, lmao. Do you think humans stop innovating if they share tools and democratize production, rather than having a bunch of unaccountable mini-dictators?

Do you think the Capitalists are the ones who innovate, or is it the Engineers and Scientists that do?

Trust me bro, Capitalism is necessary for innovation, just trust me bro

My problem is the opposite, normal teeth, small mouth! Haven't ever been able to have braces until now, so I'm knocking it all out now. Hope everything goes well for you!

This. I've only been recently able to afford much needed dental care, and now it's too late for one of my teeth, a tooth above it broke the roots because my mouth is too crowded. Had I been able to afford it earlier, I would have a much more normal mouth.

Why would conservatives choose Lemmy over Reddit? Genuinely. Lemmy is the explicitly leftist answer to Reddit, at least in intention.

Not sure including Todd Howard as a key factor for a Fallout series is a good thing, considering the drop in quality of lore within the Bethesda vs Black Isle/Obsidian games, but it looks "fun" at least. Will be cautiously pessimistic and hopefully pleasantly surprised.

We have more empty homes than homeless people.

I'm a big fan of the usual big hitters like Viva New Vegas, but are there any lesser-known mod lists you love? Right now I'm enjoying The Sands, on Wabbajack. Never would've tried Vicious Wastes, otherwise!

Like the title! Do you have any favorite characters that you've made, across the entire series? Could be any Fallout game.

One of my favorites is a techno-religious Brotherhood Scribe, that takes massive inspiration from the Adeptus Mechanicus. Ultimately sided with Elijah at endgame.

Returning home after work, hands freezing as they touch the cold metal doorknob. Turning on lamps, lighting candles, making a lovingly tender and warm cup of coffee, snuggling up with a pet and a partner on a couch, cozy under the various old blankets you've collected over the years, and playing Stardew Valley, Skyrim, or any other comfort game together.

Grab some warm stew or curry, throw on a well-loved hoodie, and enjoy the security and hospitality you give yourself and your family.

Warm pie and cookies for dessert, and a book to sip on and savor.

It's clearly a red scare parody.
