Thanks. I am still not sure if that would rule out the second knife considering that knob might be considered an "other device" thing. I know there was a big push not too long ago with border security confiscating flipper knives

The laws regarding knives here can be a bit vague at times and I'm wondering if knives like this

Or this

Would be considered illegal? The top one is assisted and deploys in a way that seems like a switchblade and the bottom one can be opened with one hand thanks to the knob. I am not sure if they would be viewed any differently than a pocket knife because they use utility blades making it a bit more obvious that they are a tool.

He looks so happy and relaxed. Very cute

This is what I ended up doing. I also used plaster to smooth things out. I think it ended up okay

Thanks for the tip

Would it be fine to sparkle or caulk right up to the pipe that connects to my sink?

It's a bit of a long story but someone tried using spray foam to fill the hole around where my sink's plumbing goes through and it seems like it essentially expanded too much and causing the paint to tear.

I was thinking maybe I could get some rigid insulation cut it to size, stick it in there, and spackle over it followed by painting it. I would probably cut the rest of the paint to the top because it looks as if it is going to tear eventually and it's at an angle.

Any suggestions?

The gap is close to an inch in size.

I feel like it's not something you see very often here compared to other items like knives and fidget items.

I have a JEYI 2230 NVMe case with a 1TB drive I keep on my keychain for backups of things that would be annoying to lose like my AntennaPod stats

The additional monitor is a game changer. I feel like I don't take it for granted because of how often I see single monitor setups in the wild

I had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to word the title. What I mean is something that changed in your life for the better and you immediately started underappreciating it.

I got laser eye surgery a couple years ago and immediately got used to it and didn't think about all the minor inconveniences that came with having glasses.

Similarly I bought a curved computer monitor because it seemed neat and after a couple hours it feels so insignificant I stopped really "feeling" anything.

Maybe. I am posting this from Canada.

Here's a photo

For context there are stickers on Lush product containers that have a cartoon photo of the people who made it. I'm wondering is there one person who just makes them? Are they made using preselected features? Do employees get to design them?

No clue but I'm curious.

Here are some things I plan to keep from my current build:

  • Corsair Vengeance C70 case
  • EVGA SupaNOVA NEX650G 650W 80+ Gold Certified power supply
  • 4 HDD + 2 NVME + 1 SSD

Here are some things I plan to get new:

  • AMD Ryzen 7800X3D 4.2GHz 8-core processor
  • be quiet! Pure Rock Slim 2 CPU cooler
  • 32 GB (2*16GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR5-7200 RAM
  • Asus TUF Gaming OC Radeon 7800 XT graphics card

Should I consider anything else?

Everything seems to work out in PCPartPicker with two exceptions.

It seems like most motherboards will need to be updated to support the CPU. I don't know if it's possible to do this without a CPU or how likely I am to get a board with an older BIOS version.

It also says the RAM requires 1.45V more than the recommended maximum voltage of the CPU (1.35V).

I plan to upgrade the RAM, cooler, and CPU first and do the GPU later when there are more sales. I don't think this should be an issue. I was thinking about upgrading the RAM later but my computer currently has DDR4 and I think the CPU only supports DDR5.

Running GParted gives me an error that says

fsyncing/closing dev/sdb: input/output error

Using Gnome Disk Utility under the assessment section it says

Disk is OK, one bad sector

Clicking to format it to EXT4 I'm getting a message that says

Error formatting volume

Error wiping device: Failed to probe the device 'dev/SDB' (udisks-error-quark, 0)

Running sudo smartctl -a /dev/SDB I get a few messages that all say

... SCSI error badly formed scsi parameters

In terms of the physical side I've swapped out the SATA data and power cable with the same results.

Any suggestions?

Amazon has a decent return policy so I'm not incredibly concerned but if I can avoid that hassle it would nice.

She also has a brown tail and a dot just above it so it kind of looks like a question mark

This post reminds me of that

That's her all the time

I feel like every two years I need to call my carrier and complain if I want a decent deal. They will do things like upgrade my plan on their website to have 10 extra gigabytes of data but won't upgrade me to it until I contact them. There's also all the new member exclusive deals that I feel make it impractical to just sit on one plan for an extended period of time.

Hope this is fine to post here. Not a screenshot but it cracked me up.

The title of the video is When a Parasocial Relationship Goes Too Far but I figured this was less clickbait.
