But I thought Putin’s whole invasion was about removing nazis from Ukraine.

Where's the contradiction? "Putin" is fighting Azov. Or they were, until Azov retreated behind conscripts.

(Russia's stated goals from the day of the invasion https://www.rt.com/russia/550466-putin-ukraine-opeartion-goals/ (Demilitarising Ukraine was the priority with denazifying as a secondary goal))

Aha, but Azov is very powerful neo-nazi movement. They and their allies may hold no political seats, but the only way to be sure is ~~full-scale invasion~~ special military operation. Will only be few ~~days~~ ~~weeks~~ ~~months~~ years

While I also dont think that denazification was the actual reason for the invasion, I dont understand your point. The us was backing the nazis and while they lost heavily in elections, because most ukrainians are not extremists, they were commiting crimes against the russian ethnicity ukrainians. Was it better to wait? Or to send even more weapons to the separatists? I'm not saying that the invasion was justified, I just dont get your take.

My point was that denazification was not the reason. So you agree with my only point and then extrapolated a bunch if other stuff.

Where was there any extrapolation? I just didnt understand the need to downplay azov and the western-backed nazis. You also failed to actually react to my questions.

Are we supposed to be surprised that someone in Ukraine - a country at war, highly dependent on support from the U.S to continue to stand up to its invader - now appeals to the new hand that can either feed them or cut them off?

He received it in 2022 and Azov really is a neo-nazi unit so it's perfectly plausible, I say this as someone who is generally pro-Ukraine's right to self-defense and self-determination and anti-Putin (and have been long before the war due to LGBT issues)

I don't doubt him being a Nazi.

I think his Nazism is basically orthogonal to this - everyone and their grandmother who relies on the American empire for anything is kissing the ring at the moment, Nazi or not.

Mfer what part of "he received it in 2022" do you not comprehend?
