tl;dr: If you have autism, the police consider you an easy target for this sort of thing.

*perpetrators consider you an easy target

There, fify

A lot of autistic people are easy targets for informants and undercover officers. We saw this with the boogaloo movement. It's a bunch of informants who are blatantly exploiting the fact that autistic people are likely going to be vulnerable to people offering them a sense of acceptance and have trouble seeing through a setup.

The 2021 gun rights rally at the Ohio capitol was a perfect example of this. It was around two weeks after J6 and there was a supposed national gun rights rally that was supposed to happen at state capitols. It got called out by gun rights influencers who warned everyone that it was a setup because there was no organizer behind it and it was likely an attempt to either make gun owners into felons or smear them in some way.

There was a group of boogaloo boys who showed up and their leader had signs of autism. He showed no awareness and tried getting seen with a transwoman at the event.

They also showed up to the George Floyd protests and tried to hijack the protests to promote the boogaloo movement.

Welp, the effect of the insane american political system and the right to own murder weapons isnt gonna help autistic individuals at all.

He showed no awareness and tried getting seen with a transwoman at the event.

I dont know why this would be relevant.

I had to google this movement. Autistics can lack logical thinking as well, sadly.

Why does a lot of anglo-saxon forces seems to not know what it means to investigate terrorism. Like they have the same problem with their FBI in Burgerland

Why is that right wing cope when they were the ones trying to defund the police state that created this situation?

Jenny Durkan, former Seattle Mayor, paid a convicted child molester to dress as a clown and entrap a couple of mentally ill people too. They are still in prison. That was decades ago.

This is just pretty much how US law enforcement works.

TL;DR: 4 FSB agents created organization "New greatness", investigated it and sent 9 people into jail.

Biblical old testament levels of it's a SIN if you can't resist all temptation.

Very fitting.

Cross-posting my comment from the other thread here because people should watch this video:

The only person at the senate inquiry into this that had any balls was Greens Senator David Shoebridge. Got his mic cut off for politely telling a cop to basically go fuck himself.

This is why I always put the Greens first on my ballot, in both state & federal and for both upper & lower houses. They’re the only viable leftist party in Australia imo.

In the decision, Fleming found law enforcement used “the guise of a rehabilitation service to entice the parents of a troubled child to engage in a process that resulted in potential harm to the child.”

Ah, yes. The enemy being the enemy, exactly as expected. It's a work of exceptional propaganda that anyone tolerates our dystopia.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Not only propaganda. Also hierarchical thinking. People think of others (and other creatures) as less. Thats the core problem imo. We need to understand that. Autistics are not lesser than allistics. People with personality disorders arent lesser, political opposites are not lesser, etc. cooperation instead of competition.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Please don't say allistics, it's very silly. Like having a special word for people without heart murmurs. It's not about in-group versus out-group; autism and related developmental disorders are precisely that - developmental disorders.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Wait, you‘re starting with in group out group and end with pathologizing autism? That makes no sense.

Feel free to link sources but this is the first time I hear of this. Also dont pathologize NDs. We are not disordered, just different. Having pathological issues like learning disability or trouble speaking can be part of the experience but being ND isnt a pathology in itself. That is ableist imo.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

It's absolutely pathological, I spent many years working with autistic children and once you pass the mildest of the mild cases of the-syndrome-formerly-known-as-Aspergers it completely prevents any semblance of autonomy or basic daily functioning. This attitude is a joke, I'm deadly serious. Legitimately severe autism and we're talking pre-verbal, may not ever learn to reliably use the toilet. Even moderate autism needs daily care attendance.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Whatever you think mate. This isnt the group to dump on autistic folks. Feel free to learn and ask questions.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I have a neurodevelopmental disorder myself, I accept that side of myself but it definitely makes life challenging. I'm not ashamed of it, but it's not a source of pride either.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Again, feel free to ask how we see this and maybe learn to view differences as differences and challenges as challenges instead of pathologizing it all.

I for example have severe problems with being misunderstood due to my way of thinking. It is not that my thinking is pathological but the fact that others think different that makes life hard for me.

This has caused people to beat me up IRL and has made me millions with companies I created. Sure, you can choose to say „OMG autism!“ or you can say „Well, the person might need more help than others but might have unexpected qualities.“

Other challenges for me are low pain threshold, high frequency sound sensitivity, inability to voice dissent if stressed, very monotropistic.

But they can be managed. If we pathologize people for something as broad as autism, we wont integrate them into society ever.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago

Right, but this is all very mild autism you're talking about. Even moderate autism verges on pre-verbal, and none of them were really able to type or write. Most speech they did have was mimicking television shows, along with the accent. It's absolutely pathological and you certainly could not have a conversation with them about it as that was not a concept they understood.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Clearly had nothing better to do with their time.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago

Sounds like it. Or they had an axe to grind.
