Remember when the assholes at United overbooked a flight and sent someone to knock a doctor's teeth out and carry him off a plane? The doctor refused since he was on his way to oversee the opening of a clinic he founded for veterans.

He and his wife started the clinic as a way to thank American servicemen and women, because he was plucked out of ocean waters by the U.S. Navy as he fled communism in his home country of Vietnam about 44 years ago, he said.

Yeah. This will make up for it. Fuck United Airlines.

What use is internet on a plane if you get beaten off of it by armed guards because United overbooked the flight?

gross. starlink is garbage and only serves to get a nazi richer.

United Airlines: please forget all the bag things we've ever done; here's free Internet.

I want Elon musk ISP like I want him at my dinner table.

Such a fanboy

I kinda would like him at my dinner table. That way I could slap him in the face.

He also brought twenty armed guards (and a medic?). They ate all your food, and ruined your toilet. He made too many "jokes" about impregnating things, chuckled, and left.

So as a United flier(haven't flown for two months, though), I know that they provide the following free:

  • a selection of locally hosted movies and TV shows
  • RCS, iMessage
  • Internet messaging services like meta messenger and snapchat(I can't speak on more niche messengers like Jami or any forms of XMPP

You have to pay extra(or sign in with t-mobile) to get in flight internet access.

I hope that this means that you'll get unrestricted internet access for free, instead of only a few apps and services.

Snapchat works, but messages take minutes to send and receive.

But I need them to see my dick NOW! I can't wait a few minutes

Signal and WhatsApp work with the free messaging option. I was a little surprised by Signal.

IIRC telegram does as well

I'd have been too lol.

Good for them. I still can't fit in their 30" pitch seats.

*Note: Some United flights may now divert underground to give The Boring Company more tax breaks

Probably throttled for free and paid if you want the speed to stream video. Still though, I'd take that. Would be great for just checking messages and emails and stuff.

No such thing as free. It's in the price of your ticket. And indeed the upsell potential is enormous.
