My hope is that, when the show comes on in a few weeks, they don't even parody Trump. The actor who plays him reads his statements verbatim, because he's so far beyond parody.
I'm sure they'll be making the same handful of jokes they've been making since 2016. SNL is truly played out by now

There isn't a new SNL episode this week. It doesn't return for season 50 until September 28th.
..........well god dammit. I haven't seen SNL for years, and the ONE TIME I want to watch, it's on break!
Although I did see a youtube compilation of weekend update where the white guy and the black guy write each others jokes, and try to embarass each other. That's good stuff.
