The Garden of Earthly Delights is the modern title given to a triptych oil painting on oak panel painted by the Early Netherlandish master Hieronymus Bosch, between 1490 and 1510, when Bosch was between 40 and 60 years old. It has been housed in the Museo del Prado in Madrid, Spain since 1939.

See, this is what I’ve been looking for. Bloody #traditional art channel on here is just a dude posting pictures with basically random adherence or thought to properly attributing, dating or contextualising. Unsub -> Sub 😁

Thanks @[email protected] High five.

Apologies for the extra links / odd image problems. The image file Wikipedia has for this painting is 174 MB! I had to download that, shrink it. post it to my Pixtagram account to make it properly viewable.

NGL it's cool wikimedia preserves a high definition scan of it. Thanks for your work too!

Thanks for posting this. I love this painting. I have a 10,000 piece puzzle of this on my wall that my father put together. It is pretty amazing and large, but that helps make it easier to see the zany scenes.
