Don’t forget Jack Black is in it, the whiney bitch who throws his long time friend in front of the bus

Oh boo hoo, Jack Black recognized the risk posed to his crew and his fans after is bandmate called for political violence on stage. Fuck him, right?

Y'all act like he endorsed Trump or something... He recognized that in the wake of an assassination attempt on a former president, his bandmate's endorsement of violence and calling for another assassination attempt could put them and their crowded concerts in the cross hairs of violent right-wing lunatics.

At worst his cancellation of the tour was an overreaction, but he's not wrong. His bandmate fucked up by saying something violent and stupid intended to enrage an large and unstable faction of American fascists.

And his is why MAGA is so successful. They are doing it, while all others are rather cautious/afraid. The false sense of morals will not save you, when the others are in power and shoot you.

citation required. maga is successful because fascism works. maga is successful because young white males are fuckign idiots.

"I thought we were past low effort video game movies" borderlands literally just happened

We will never be past low effort tie-ins as long as line must go up

We're entering an age where these CEOs calling the shots are extra useless and they just ask AI what to do. This is the kinda horseshot you're going to start seeing.

This film has been in development since 2014.

As of this year, it's fair to assume any movie to be released will be impacted in some way by AI.

I found it amusing. I didn't have any expectations, and still don't, it was just funny in an absurd way.

Past low effort video game movies? Borderlands just released. The budget got bigger, but I don't think there's an honest effort here.

Even more controversial, I assume, the Mario and Sonic movies are forgettable at best. I couldn't think of a way to make them more generic without dropping the theming entirely.

On the topic of Mario, how did Jack Black end up in the Minecraft movie? I haven't seen anyone else in there before, I think.

Jumanji 2-3, Super Mario, Borderlands: Jack Black is a sucker for silly video game roles.

He did read the audiobook of Minecraft: The Mountain. So he's got some past experience in Minecraft?

Plus he's a respected games journalist over in his channel Jablinski Gaming.

No but really I think he's a safe choice for family movies. The producers know what they're getting.
