Getting there! One bed's soil is fluffed up and looking pretty. Added some dynamic lifter too for good measure. Soil will subside a bit so going to throw on somefing on top and give it a another scratch before spring.

That bed has never been more empty. Feels good to have a clean start. Also felt good standing on that retaining wall on the right with all my weight and it didn't budge.

House is clean. Time to crank the amp!

Gibson got a new wand toy today, so let's see if she completely ignores it as usual lol

What's playing? Edit: oh, you playing guitar?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Yep. I play guitar, sing and record/make music on PC.

If you want to hear any, let me know and I'll post a track or 2.

So tired today. I only worked 2 days this week but they were pretty physical days and I'm knackered. Managed to get a load of laundry done and the kitchen cleaned. Forgot I've been playing nurse to covid sufferers this past week, which has been oddly stressful and emotionally tiring. I just feel spent.

That and you are still recovering yourself! Feet up and rest woman!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago

More stuff has been taken out to the courtyard for neighbours to take if they want

best find is a real italian stainless steel pasta maker with the attachments and instruction booklet . It was expensive when I bought it. But I'll never use it again and it's taking up space.

also a small murano vase

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Murano vases are worth a bit of money (I have a collection of paperweights). Lucky neighbours! We put out a box of lemons a couple of days ago and most are still sitting there 🤔 most peculiar, they're usually gone pretty swiftly. Last year a woman pulled up when we had about 3 wheelbarrows full after the tree was pruned and grabbed several grocery bags full.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

most murano nowadays is made in thailand ...lol. This is nothing special.

My real venini, cenedese and nason are staying put

2 hours of work at home done.

Night do more later if I’m in the mood to free up my Monday work at home day.

Been doing them in 30 mins bursts today through the day.

Now for some footy and game time!

House clean (mostly), still need to scrub the shower and fold laundry but that can happen tomorrow as that’s enough housework for one day. Enjoying an arvo coffee in the sun (it’s turned out to be a pretty nice day), going to get a quick workout in before dinner out tonight.

I guess I have no plans, so I plan to drink thissss boiii

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Looks nice! I like imbue; when I used to drink I tried their sunflower vodka and elixir gin liqueur, both of which I really enjoyed.

Went down to the Burnley Brewing taproom for their closing down takeaways sale. Filled my little 9.5L homebrew keg with IPA at $5/L and bought three cases of cans too.

A fantastic loot to haul home from your successful quest for booze!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago

I took my 19L keg too, but they weren't as keen on that, which is fair. I still have about 15L of Rice Lager I brewed to get through anyway.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Oh ! I found my spirit animal.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Do you homebrew as well? Or just, also like me, keen on all forms of booze? 😋

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I don’t homebrew but, I enjoy IPA’s exclusively. West Coast style.

Hearing one of the kids on the hockey team introduce his great-grandma to my son. Totally wild. My great grandmother lived 1867-1952.

I didn't even really get the grandparent experience as a kid, let alone great-grandparents.

1867-1952

That's a great innings for back then!

This is the way!

Chilli seeds are in on the prop. heat mat. This year (hopefully if they germinate) it will be just thai, habs and birdseye (if they overwintered).

Today's major thing is digging over the soil that's been trampled and compacted from doing the retaining wall. Soil is uneven af now and there's a fair bit of it and I'm running outta radox and ibuprofen.
