I would have loved to subscribe to the Official F1 calendar and have it update live, though this level of permission is way too much.

Do you guys have actual private calendar entries in Google?

Agreed, I went to sign up for this and bailed when I got to that screen.

On iOS you need to supply email, name and date of birth. No thanks.

Thanks for that. I've been subscribed to the official f1 ICS calendar on my nextcloud server and have that synced to my calendar, but other racing series don't supply actual times (e.g. the official formula e calendar marks the entire day as "whatever e-prix"), which usually means I can't be bothered to actually watch an event.

The site you provided does show the times, that will make it convenient to follow other racing series, as well...

Yup this is the way. Been using it for years, the maintainers even do a better job keeping the calendar up to date than the official sources too.

That was alot better with granular options than the official one. Thanks!!

Personally use the racefans calendar, hasn't let me down. Does the official F1 calendar still include the esports events as well?

There are other sites that allow you to download a .ics file to populate the calendar app of your choice, obviously with no data collection.

Only trouble is, if an event gets rescheduled, the event won't be updated on your calendar.

Instead of importing the ics, you can use a webcal subscription link, like f1calendar provides. Still no permissions or data collection, but it will update the events as changes occur
