So writing to the manufacturer of the pizza with a bolt.

Here's what we have so far:

To whom it may concern, I am writing to inform you that I recently bought a pizza manufactured by your company at Leos Fine Food and Wine in Kew, 3101 on 22/07/24 which contained a 1.5cm x 5mm metal bolt (pictured in the attached). It need not be explained the risks of finding a foreign object like a metal bolt in food.
It is my hope that you bolster the servicing and upkeep of the equipment in use to ensure this doesn’t happen again to other customers. Kind regards.

In plain language... that shit is gonna send peeps to the dentist buy a screwdriver and a torch.

They will probably ask you to send in the bolt.

Also, what would you do if they sent you a large shipment of dozens of pizzas?

Spoiler-free but hidden behind a spoiler tag anyway Deadpool & Wolverine review:

I feel like I'm stuck in waiting mode in life right now. Next year is very up in the air - if I get a job, will I be able to return to study? Etc.

Trying to focus on the present.

make this a time to learn and heal and create

lots of hugs 🤗🤗🤗

Here's a new one.

Bought a pizza from leos in kew and it had a bolt in it.

Very lucky I didn't bite down too hard.

Don't really care if it's a hair, or half a rat but a bolt would be an expensive fix if that went wrong.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That would've been an expensive bolt, too.... surprised you didn't make your own pizza

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

I think I'll do that from now on for a bit.

Being lazy is dangerous :(

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I wonder how that got in there...

Are you going to let them know?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Yea I'll contact the manufacturer (small company I'd imagine).

At first I thought it was a bone heh. Bit of a surprise :)

Bloody AusPost left my parcel up a fucking tree.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Can quokkas even climb trees? 🤔

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago

I guess the hard part is getting back down.

I mentioned earlier that I had a video of myself play Beat Saber.

I’ve uploaded it if you want to have a look.

Song is Believer from Imagine Dragons

This was done some time ago. I really need to get back into it as it’s lots of fun.

That looks like terrific fun.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

It’s very fun, more so with songs that I enjoy.

Punishment for cleaning the stove top... out of nowhere all the ignitors have started clicking. Turned it off at the source. Am supposed to wait 24-48 hours before trying again. I hope something hasn't completely shorted because this is the worst possible timing to not have a stove available, I just finished up the last of my food in the fridge... guess it's air fryer chips and fish and blanched greens for dinner tomorrow.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Mine did this a few days ago after a service!

Apparently it's a safety measure.

I cleaned the ignighters with a pin, metho and isopropyl, waited for it to dry (then went again for good measure). It sometimes continually sparks but on my top simply re-ignighting solved it (thankfully).

Hope it gets resolved soon because that's really annoying.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Looks like I should get around to cleaning those suckers. They probably haven't ever been cleaned...

Where did you get isopropyl alcohol, isn't it usually rather pricey in Australia? Reckon just metho would work?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Bunnings has some for cheap. Metho (and acetone) seem to work too.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Nah, isocol is just overpriced. Bosca, melbourne solvents or even just brown bottle it at a chemist.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

You can turn the electricity off and use a match to light them. Dries them out a bit quicker.

Gas stoves are the worst...my clickers are stuffed and a thermocouple needs replacing. Thermocouple part costs $3.20 but the work costs $250ish and will likely need to be done in the others in quick succession. I bought a one pot induction panel to get us by and it's soooo much better.. Want induction now.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

I won't lie, I do have a penchant for cooking on gas stoves, seeing the flame (I know it's terrible for health and environmental reasons) Induction just feels... off.

But I would be panicking if this turns out to be an expensive fix like yours. Not sure the landlord is gonna wanna cough up. I hope it's just a matter of everything needing to dry out, worst case start using matches.

Had one of the worst days of my life yesterday.

Maybe I'm finally out of this thing 🤞 Not much coughing, not quite as congested or lethargic, sinus tension is minor and mood feels positive. Was so fed up with being in one place that I've given the kitchen counters and sink a good clean (incl grotty stove top - not cleaned for a month), and vacuumed the place (nearly two weeks overdue).

Ah, cleanliness! Health! Healing! I feel much more deserving of dinner and a movie now ☺️ Just need to have a nice warm shower and pick something to watch... Been on a Robin Williams streak as I haven't watched that many of his movies. Day before yesterday was The Birdcage and The World According to Garp. Last night I watched Awakenings, maybe I'll watch The Fisher King tonight. Before anyone says it, I recall watching What Dreams May Come before he passed away and I am NOT watching it again for fear my entire sinus will come undone.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Fisher King... Right on.
