There is another governmental envelope on the table. I looked up the PO Box. Yup ๐พ

Adoption Certificate for Nellie, the Daily Thread numbat (with thanks to @Catfish)
I did it and it was really really good. If you zoom in you'll be mesmerised by the pretty colours.
That looks fucking amazing!!!
Thanks.
I am drooling
That looks amazing. The pomegranate is ๐๐ป
Thanks.
Went really well!
Tired but had a pretty good day. A lot of induction and training which is to be expected.
Got to chat to the owner and he's a really nice guy.
No real complaints! โค๏ธ
Yay! So glad to hear it went well.
Today's replacement is the earbuds that were stolen. The first ones were actually an impulse buy when I was at my conference in Adelaide. I like to wear hats sometimes, but I also like toe ear headphones all the time. So I bought the earbuds - a pair of Jabra something or rathers. They have nosie cancelling (although it's not super good) and sound alright.
I also got the new M2 SSD and 3.5" SATA drives that I ordered. Took the opportunity to redo the thermal paste and give it a good dusting. M2 screws are such a pain to put back in. I tried for 10 minutes to get the screw back in, but I couldn't get it in. I eventually caved and put a piece of double sided tape on the screw to keep the screw and screwdriver together. Worked well. But with how difficult that was, I kind of wish I'd just gone for the largest M2 I could afford, rather than getting a small M2 and a larger HDD. Also decided to reinstall windows, just to get a clean slate
The GPU still hasn't been shipped and I'm getting more annoyed every day with these MWave people

Khaki coloured helicopter doing laps over Thornbury - does anyone know anything? Not the copper chopper, nor a news channel one.
I fell sleep but the day hasn't been wasted
did 30 minutes weeding in the garden and planted jalapeno seeds. Did 30 minutes, of sanding of the chair. Have done many loads of washing. Did some grocery shopping.
Pakige is waiting for me at the post office. After my Temu splurge I will have a few more coming over the next couple of weeks too. I am undermining my own decluttering progress. Hopefully a couple of things I have up for sale get bought soon and cancel it out a bit!
We have a box of stuff that we want to get rid of. Dealing with annoying people always feels so exhausting though. It always feels like it is too much hassle over $10 or $20.
It can be a hassle. I often do porch pickup so I don't have to actually meet people directly - surprisingly no one has taken the item and not left money yet. The stuff I have at the moment is all postable stuff on eBay. I think the fees they charge are well worth the reduced hassle, but unfortunately eBay doesn't get the sales volume it used to. I used to be able to put up just about anything with a 99c start, it would be bid up to a good price and sold within a week.
So brought down a bunch of braches overhanging the shed. I am now in love with the kukri. Did WAY better than loppers. 10/10 new fave cut shit tool.
Two times this week I got the dreaded 'you seem like a great guy' from online dating apps.
The first had bad experiences in the past with guys who have the same first name as me.
The second we were going to meet up tomorrow for the first time but messaged today to say they've reconnected with a guy from their past so cya.
I understand the reasons but boy, with the lady who 'isn't one for pushing drugs on people, but I think you should take some of my medication', and one who said she just left a cult, online dating apps have not been fun (though, interesting).
Yeah online dating sucks. There are plenty of, sorry to say it, fruit loops, on there. If I had just left a cult, I hope I'd go straight to a therapist!
I'm taking a long break from it and not sure if I ever want to try again. It seems like the only way in this day and age, although I did meet my ex at a bar.
Every time I try OLD, I try to get something out of it, even if it's not a partner. Last person I spoke to from there shared some great music (and I gave him some recs). Before that, met some people that it didn't work out with, but now they're in happy relationships - it has been nice to see :)
I recently went to the birthday party of an acquaintance, and she had friends there that she met from OLD apps.
It does seem like it's the only way. Doubly for me because I don't socialise or do anything in social circles.
I'll take a break from it and focus on other things.
Sorry to hear it man. I gave up online a long time ago and stick to in person.
More to lose, but it's so much better.
It's life. I'm probably gonna take a break from it and focus on uni and writing (and work I suppose)
what happened with the Melbourne girl? I might've missed that.
She bought a house in Melbourne so I think that kind of put a bit of a barricade in things. We still talk but it's more as friends.
Words can't express how much I appreciate missing the whole online dating thing. I met my wife at a very unromantic bar. In the days when "we met online" was still a bit weird.
Everything about the dating apps sounds awful. Not just for men, if anything I think women probably have it worse.
From the stories I hear, women definitely have it worse.
Work day nearly over for me, can't wait to get out. Been a very busy day here and finally getting some quiet downtime for just a little bit.
Going to pick up some more pizzas at the supermarket because I feel like it, ha!
What kind of pizzas? I could definitely go a pizza tonight.
Meat lovers and supreme most likely depending on whatโs there.
Supreme w/extra garlic is my jam.
In the office today. Nothing exciting going on. I do have a test iPhone 15 I'm considering trying out (moving my personal sim over to it) but I'm so embedded into the Android/Google ecosystem that I don't know if I can be bothered. Plus it'd render my smartwatch somewhat useless, at least while I use the iPhone which wouldn't be permanent.
I will likely change my mind in the next 15-20 minutes and just do it. I'm a wildcard.
I hate apple. Was a samsung/android fan for years and years and years. I got a work iphone a few years back and went "meh, may as well get the watch" and never really looked back. The apple watch is amazing, how samsung have never been able to get that quite right blows my mind. Well worth a try cause at worst you'll come back to android with a new appreciation for the stuff that makes it great.
What about SD card storage though? :(
I see you have joined the dark side.
Every time I look at the Apple watch, I just can't get past the bit where you need to charge it every day. I have a Garmin, and already hate that it only goes about 5 days between charges.
