By the way, there is no such thing as 'The Benben Pyramid.'

The closest thing to what they are talking about are Benben stones. Which, technically, are pyramids, but not the kind they mean.

Well, the Benben stone is in a pyramidal shape, so it's technically the Benben pyramid, just not the kind to bury people in. They're probably talking about this one, although it's made of black granite, not meteorite.

What is it with these people that write these dumb make belief stories? Are they in it for the easy money? Are they in it for the attention? Is it the lulz?

What motivates people to create obvious bad fiction and the try to sell it as real?

It happens in the comments of places such as this very site. Often for the lulz, occasionally mental illness.

From there it repeats the pattern but with gullible added to the mix.

There are lots of genuinely interesting mysteries, some of which suggest fantastic things, but this kind of stuff is just taking all the fantastic parts and mushing them together without caring about, well, anything really.

Silly rabbit!
Spreading their wealth of knowledge, as all humanoids are programmed to do.

Some do it for the clicks, some are genuinely insane. The former attracts the latter and eventually it becomes a feedback loop.

Thank you for providing additional information.

The only place I’ve seen a black pyramid (that actually looks like a sharply-defined pyramid) is on an album cover.

Soundtrack to "Wizard of Oz", or was that a prism?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I don’t remember exactly, but it certainly wasn’t the prism from Dark Side of the Moon.

I was sorta just messing, but I really like that you replied!

If this is the one, though, I would have to question our future relationship!

Ugh fortunately not, but I’d understand

It's carved out of basalt. WTF is wrong with these people.

Basalt " ... comprises more than 90% of all volcanic rocks."
