A law that prohibits labels from being too sticky that you can't reuse the packaging. For example, I should absolutely be able to easily peel off the labels from empty wine bottles and glass jars so I can reuse them.

Mandatory housing units over every strip mall and big box store in America.
Even just a few units. Hell a few mobile homes up there even would go a long way. Forced mixed use development.
Every airline seat should be fixed at the reclined position
Nope, the recline function make almost zero comfort change for the occupant, but for the person behind it has huge impact.

I disagree and most people who fly constantly are with me.
I fly for work upwards of 4 times a month for 4 hour flights, the best flights are where no one reclines theor chair.
If you're tall your already touching the seat in front.
Then they recline you have that on top of your knees, and a chair in your face.

Copyright should go back to 14 years.
Yep, that would encourage new ideas way more than the current system.

git send-xmpp & darcs send --xmpp for realtime, decentralized collaborative patches. The extensibility could fix the UX issues with patches by email & wouldnβt require accounts on someone elseβs server or using the severely flawed βpull requestβ model.
I've got another one: make Mother's and Father's Days paid work holidays!
And election day
I'll take any extra holidays I can get. However, voting by mail is really the way to go. I used to be reluctant to vote, but mail ballots just make it too easy.

You know how the FTC recently banned non-compete clauses (for non-senior roles)?
They should ban the, 'and other unspecified duties as required' clauses too.
And forced arbitration should be invalidated.
