I try to crosspost sometimes to reach more people.

I dont get it.

"Share permalink" copies some weird clone of the post on my homeserver.

And someone told me I should crosspost, but this is not available.

Shouldnt "share post" be a link on the server of the community? Would that be a crosspost?

Thanks people! Jerboah is the best Lemmy app but this is very strange.

Steps:

  • press share post

-select jerbao

-now it should bring you to the post making interface with a link in the url column . So just select the community and press the place showing " suggested title " and send post .

A crosspost will automatically happen when you submit a post with the same external link in another community.

You cannot crosspost a text-only post, as the crosspost feature relies on the URL field.

Afaik you can't do it on the app, or at least I can't find the button for it.
