"Page Six reported that Archewell’s registration check was mailed but never received by the state, and the foundation expects delinquency to be resolved quickly."

There is a lot of government that operates on checks and faxes almost exclusively, usually due to archaic laws and legal definitions. Weird shit like faxes being considered as afditional originals, not copies.

Imagine being hired to build a web interface for a digital fax translator and archival system in order to integrate them to their already shitty computer systems

California attorney general Rob Bonta has ordered Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s charity to stop raising and spending money after declaring it “delinquent” on its state registration fees. Bonta sent a letter to the Archewell foundation to notify the charity of its status change, and attributed the demotion to its failure to submit an annual report and the fees. As a result, Archewell can’t fundraise or spend money while it’s in limbo, and it may be subject to greater sanctions down the road. “An organization that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds,” the notice, which was first reported by Page Six, reads. “The organization may also be subject to penalties and its registration may be suspended or revoked by the Registry.” Page Six reported that Archewell’s registration check was mailed but never received by the state, and the foundation expects delinquency to be resolved quickly.
