The weird jingoism in the media reporting around the Sydney stabbing is extremely cringe. "Warrior" cops and "god tier legends". Really? You know it's possible to report the news without being all tabloid about it.
Also "thoughts and prayers" from insert various people. Cool thanks for letting us know. Completely meaningless and predictable "sentiment".
This makes me glad I don't consume much aussie news media
it seems that I'm not missing out on information and have missed all the nastiness
Why don't I watch or read much news? because of decades of experience with the shitshow of aussie media I don't even expect it be news worth watching
I think the Age has become so trashy and tabloid recently, always chasing "clicks"
Yes, surprised the word Cobber didnโt come out at this end of April. Especially since so many were yelling to instant grant citizenship/residency without any knowledge of the chaps in question wanting that.
Maybe they were brave, or maybe they did it for their own egos. We don't know so the media needs to eat a piece of bread and calm down.
I doubt ego played into the instant. Maybe later, for which the media needs to eat something much less pleasant than bread.
The bread reference was a RHOB reference.
