What's the deal with this guy's buddy? If some guy I was hanging out with started breaking into cars and stealing guns I wouldn't pal around with them until 6am... this guy did and THEN narced on him to the cops! So many questions...

"Maybe just get some drinks with the boys next time.

A man who was celebrating his newfound freedom quickly lost it again when he found himself behind bars after firing a gun in downtown Nashville yesterday.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, officers received a call around 6 AM for gunshots near the intersection of Commerce Street and Rep. John Lewis Way, just a block from the Ryman Auditorium and the honky tonks of lower Broadway.

When they got to the scene, police found 26-year-old Craig Jose Miller, also known as Juan Jose Vasquez, sitting at the intersection, and questioned them about the gunshots. They initially denied hearing the shots or firing a gun, but a nearby delivery driver told officers that they heard two shots and saw Miller waving a gun around. And police also reportedly found a gun in a nearby parking lot.

After going back to question the two men again, Miller told officers that he had a gun, but that it wasn’t with him. (Technically true, I guess?)

Well at that point police took the man into custody for reckless endangerment, and Miller finally admitted that he had fired the gun – and also his reasoning for the gunshots: He was celebrating his divorce.

Just celebrating his freedom…although it turned out to be short lived.

Things then got worse when officers reportedly found a THC pen on Miller, and his friend told police that Miller had “bomb making material” in a backpack.

How hard was he planning on celebrating?

Officers closed the roadway and searched the backpack, and found property that was stolen from a vehicle break-in earlier that night. The gun that was used for the celebratory gunfire was also reportedly stolen from the vehicle.

And while he was being taken into custody, Miller allegedly kicked an officer in the stomach and threatened to kill them.

Man, I can’t believe his wife wanted to divorce him. Sounds like a great guy.

Miller was ultimately hit with more than a dozen charges, including reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, motor vehicle burglary, theft of a firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and assault on a first responder.

Congrats on the divorce, I guess?"

Was the shooter a split personality? It seemed weird to refer to him as two men.

man who had committed a bunch of crimes draws lots of attention to himself by firing in public a gun he stole a bunch of times.
