MODERATORS

Fuck you reddit 2.0, took you long enough. Thanks though, we'll stop seeing your crap posters pollute our comment section from now on.

90% of people we ban come from world. Very funny that they said they saw a rise of hate speech from our instance though considering the worlders we ban are fucking genocidal maniacs and fascists. You can check the modlog (it's unfortunately federated), we are one of the tamest instances when it comes to banning people and deleting comments/posts.

For any worlder that was based and liked interacting with lemmygrad (you will notice we did not ban good faith participants), I recommend you make an account on a third-party instance that federates with us, like ml or ee until they also defederate from us because we have principles πŸ™ƒ

Fuck israel, Palestine will be free a month from now mark my words πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡΅πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡΅πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡΅πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡΅πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ

On top of that, for the worlders finally breathing free again now that the scary tankies are away, you think the USSR wasn't communist or whatever. You base that on whatever you've been taught in school. We've read things. We've actually gone beyond whatever our high school teachers said and looked into the USSR for ourselves. If you're not cowards you will debate us about communism and "totalitarian" regimes, we'll wipe the floor with you. Bet you don't even know where the world totalitarian comes from or who coined it without looking it up.

And we retain our perfect track record of not blocking real instances while you further isolate yourselves from anything that might cause you some amount of discomfort. Really good democracy you got going there where wannabe tech bros instance admins decide for you what you're allowed to see, must be those liberal values I hear so much about.

Is there any benefit/missed opportunity to having my account hosted on the non-political β€œliminal.space” if I am mostly going to be using it to follow and contribute to instances such as lemmygrad or hexbear? I have very little understanding of data privacy or content moderation or β€œdata federation” (a brief search engine peruse didn’t explain a whole lot), and have just been getting into learning about anti-capitalism/socialism-communism throughout history from introductory channels on the boobtube. My instinct was to not host my account on lemmygrad, fearing that I would be put on a list somewhere by my dystopian surveillance state of a government. (I am leaving Reddit this week after having my milquetoast remarks regarding imperialism and military provocation get removed from a semi-political post (on a non-politics sub) related to the aftermath caused by the fascist candidate who has been playing a game of [nationalist] chicken with one of the 2 political parties in the country since losing his campaign for reelection)

Having an account on the instance you visit most makes it slightly easier to browse it, and if your instance de federates from us you will not be able to interact with lemmygrad anymore, but aside from that it doesn't change anything. You can make an account on either lemmygrad or hexbear too.

I must add that the Liftoff app allows you to open the public local feed of any instance on your home regardless of your login credentials. You can even mix them with your actual instance

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

So that explains why the all feed has been less shit lately.

But leemygrad IS a hate instance, tho. They hate imperialism, they hate billionaires, they hate poverty and exploitation. And they absolutely hate racism and social chavanism.

and nothing of value was lost

Awwh, I'm gonna miss the video game communities πŸ˜” Oh well.

Trash takes itself out, I suppose.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

We can always set up our own. I was considering propping it up myself if no one else had; but idk the kind of reach it'd have.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

If you're not cowards you will debate us about communism and "totalitarian" regimes, we'll wipe the floor with you.

Then how come when someone does explain the flaws in your thinking and attempts debate they get banned?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Can you point to any person who was banned for explain flaws in our thinking?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Here’s one right in this comment thread.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

And my own comment in that screenshot says I unbanned them. They also did not explain flaws in our thinking, they came in thinking they knew everything about the Soviet Union and were shown, with historical data, that their "facts" did not hold up to scrutiny.

Pearl clutching liberals have to invent wild accusations of hate speech about y'all rather than just admit they're imperialists

They really are doing their best to reinvent reddit. Solidarity to y'all. I've always liked lemmygrad and you're all comrades to me. fidel-salute

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

It's quite frankly amazing lemmygrad's federation with world lasted as long as it did. Hexbear was preemptively defederated from .world and their justification for it was literally the fact that we were explicitly against NATO, full stop.

Without lemmygrad, .world's fascist bar syndrome is going to massively accelerate.

Truly unfortunate as it’s one of the biggest instances. But completely foreseeable as they were seething pretty intensely as they got whipped up into a genocidal rage at the propaganda around the conflict in Palestine.

If this were 2003 they would have defederated from us over calling Bush a liar about WMD’s in Iraq no doubt.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

anti-cracker-aktion all they ever have is vague-posting nonsense. I can see them already in a few years saying they were always against this genocide while every post from this time will not have been deleted showing full support, pointing this out to them will only get you tone-policed. make no excuses for the terror.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Can't say its surprising that the reddit / instance is defederating from all the communist ones.

Its unfortunate because people who sign up there won't be exposed to an anti-imperialist / non-western-supremacist perspective, and will essentially get the exact same takes that they see on reddit.

They've created what they've wanted, a reddit island in the fediverse. They'll continue to defederate from any instance that challenges US imperialism.

At least it'll be less moderation work for us tho.

the one instance I've hated the most has been .world, solely because 9/10 times when there's a pending report, that report was about a .worlder saying some horrible shit. and that .worlders will report our comments and posts for "violence advocation" when all we're doing is discussing the conflict.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Look at their defederation thread, there's some really vile lies and projections about us.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

I did just a little bit ago.

Their take on the conflict in Palestine follows the logic of Zionist organizations, and generally, they show that they don't know much about the world outside of their narrow Western perspective. So, good fuckin' riddance.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

Let me guess, it was all because of the Israel-Palestine stuff and they thought we were "aNtIsEmEtIc!1!1!1!" while they gobble up orientalist propaganda about Hamas.

Also,

Palestine will be free a month from now

I think that's sadly too optimistic. It will probably take at least a year for even the most optimistic chance of Palestinian liberation, though I hope it is even sooner.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They went full masks off with this conflict.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (2 children)

They're literally indistinguishable from reddit-logo at this point

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm out of the loop with reddit stormfront. Is that some anti-communist circlejerk?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Stormfront is a Neo-Nazi forum founded in 1996. The joke is that Reddit is similarly fascist and heading down the same path, which is why the emote is titled :reddit-logo:

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

part of the joke is also the fact that reddit has generally been quicker banning leftist subs while doing nothing about obvious nazi ones until they're forced to by PR.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

the joke is that there was a stormfront subreddit, this is not a doctored screenshot.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's where they all came from so no surprise.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

At this point it's not from Reddit, it's probably from 4chan or even the real Stormfront.
