So uh how do I actually use the other instances on mobile like hexbear? Going to instances at the bottom just takes you there without the ability to post.
Ah so you click the all button at the top of the home page and that will let you see posts from all the federated instances
Is there any way to sort by instance?
What I do is block the lemmygrad instances that I don't want to see. That means 'local' is like my own feed via a blocklist. Then I subscribe mainly to the Hexbear and some lemmy.ml communities. If I sort by 'subscribed', I mainly get Hexbear, or a lot of it via an allowlist. I sometimes miss not being able to see the blocked lg comms, like c/SRS, but this way is better for my mental health in the long run.

How are you all doing?
I'm vibing. I started research for my thesis a bit ago so it feels nice to have a big project to work towards, in something I'm interested in.
Got a major update on a project due at the end of the month, unfinished and untested at the moment, with probably not enough time to get everything done. This happens every month and I hate it. I'm not having mini-breakdowns about it anymore though, so I guess I'm doing better?

So so. Life is more stable but it seems to have come at the cost of a less active social life. Back when I was in turmoil I somehow was seeing people more often and out and about more. Now I'm busier and have a stable home I find that's beginning to dwindle. Can't have it all it seems.
