Seems appropriate for an Organic Maps fork 😄
My first instinct is "Here We Go Again" but I think there's an existing map company that would take exception to that.

Based on @[email protected] 's great suggestion, I thought of the slogan "Grass-fed, free-range, organic, and community-powered maps". And of course a cow for a mascot.

Unfortunately there seems to be a number of existing software with this name.
Admittedly I only did a 30 second search and got the aforementioned Japanese company and something to do with the UK government. I thought it was probably too good to be true.
It's a great name. A lot of people seem to agree 😄

It's the Latin word for map, at least according to Google, and there doesn't appear to be any similar entities using the name, just a Japanese animation studio.
It also rolls nicely off the tongue. "Have you checked on Mappa?"

Mappa is also italian for map. People of saints, poets and navigators, says the saying

Plaid clothing/flannels is often worn by and associated with people who would buy organic, or are 'earthy' (see: Vermont Flannel)

Potential cons:
Could be confused with the Plaid Bank Linking App.
I like this a lot. My only fear is that Fintech suing the project. Not that it would have merit - completely different industries, after all - but just proving that could kill the project or force another name change.

I feel like it should be something that rolls off the tongue. Something easy to search and not awkward to recommend irl. Sucks because Organic Maps was pretty good in both those cases
OpenStreetMap is the registered trademark of OSM Foundation, and they ask to please don't use mixed and confusing names like this for related projects. From the Trademark Policy:
You may not:
abbreviate the wordmarks, combine them with other words (“OpenStreetMapThing”), or substitute words in the mark (“OpenStreetThing” or “OpenThingMap”), especially where the new combination sounds similar to OpenStreetMap.
While they usually allow the use for open projects, it would be just easier to respect the request of the Foundation.
