Hertz is the very definition of scummy auto rental. Hertz left me stranded in Austin Texas by saying "Whoops we don't have enough cars for your reservation" - the day of my reservation - after I had arrived. I will smear their name wherever I can. As an apology they... gave me nothing. They said "Well, you haven't spent any money with us so we don't owe you anything." Really? Because I seem to be in a parking lot stranded with no fucking way out.

I ended up getting a $300 Lyft to San Antonio.

Fuck Hertz (Who also owns Dollar and Thrifty btw). I avoid renting a car whenever I can now, but when I have to, Enterprise/National have yet to fuck me over. It seems to them a reservation is a reservation.
