The BOM has dropped the temperature to 24 degrees. Yes, I would like some of those mushrooms too please.

It's a nice day to be partying late at night but far out I'm exhausted, woke up at 6:30am and just waiting for an uber home after dropping my niece off at her dorm in the city. Fingers crossed my unit has remained cool. I'm so glad I have nothing on tomorrow

Promised my kid an early morning beach visit tomorrow. Can't say I'm overly excited about it but it still should be nice to dip my toes around 7am. An hour or 2 then home to AC.

Feeling a little caged at the moment with this heat.

Here's hoping my local pharmacy is open tomorrow. I forgot to grab my meds yesterday, and they close on Sundays. I'm the person who leaves their script with the pharmacy because I lose it.

Was wondering why I was feeling overly emotional, it's been a long while since I've felt them. Only twigged when the brain zaps started. ๐Ÿ˜…

Oof fingers crossed for you. Places that close on Sunday in my experience generally won't open on PHs either

I hate this. I'm exhausted but fidgety and bored, can't concentrate on anything to entertain myself, and this isn't helped by napping all day and the caffeine in dark chocolate.

thrashes

Now is the time to walk!!!

[โ€“] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

It's lovely out there, so many people are out too, walking or coming home from restaurants

Anyone else feeling shit? Weโ€™ve got ac and I doubt the place has exceeded 26 degrees. Only very limited errands out of the house but Iโ€™m just flat as heck, needed naps to get through the days. Smashing the waters but just ended up peeing it all out seemingly.

Most people sleep better from having exercised but it's too hot to engage in anything remotely vigorous so you aren't going to sleep as well then you feel shit the next day and so on.

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago

Yes. It's been rough and I also napped

It's got what plants crave

[โ€“] [email protected] 4 points 8 months ago

I reckon it adds up over time. I've done very little today and I feel like utter crap.

Tonight's going to be delightful. There's no wind to blow cool air and my place is chilling at 34.3 with no power. Electrical work has been rescheduled to tomorrow morning so my food has/will spoil. I have to do laundry and get scripts done tonight. I've blown the budget on a cold drinks only woolies order for tomorrow, hopefully I'll have power by then ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago

if you have gas cook everything you can.

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago

Renters conditions are shameful. I hope you get power back asap

[โ€“] [email protected] 5 points 8 months ago

Also, I didn't quite capture the peak indoor temperature as I only powered on my indoor weather station with a battery just an hour ago, but even then it measured 35ยฐC. A new indoor record, much higher than the last one (~33.5). which is absolutely crazy.

Well the aircon in the movie theatre struggled but Oppenheimer was incredible. I am not a fan of super long movies but I wouldn't have wanted it shorter

Theeeeeerrrmaaaaaalllll equiiiiiiiiiillllllllllliiiiiiBBBBRIIIIIUUUUUMMM!

I wonder, will the flat get below 27 this evening, or will it still be in the high 20s when we close up again in the morning?

What my family calls Gran's Grapes. She is actually my Great Gran. Before she passed away, she had lived in Thornbury since the 30s, and had this vine growing on her fence that had grapes, so delicious. After she passed, my uncle grabbed clippings and started growing them up at his house in Doreen. They've been thriving lately.

Yesterday, he gave us each a bag of grapes from those vines. Each bag is like a good 1kg, and he has 7. Said he has more at home still too.

They are the most delicious grapes I've ever had, nothing at the shops has come close. We are still trying to work out what type they are, but honestly I'm just glad to have some. They remind me of Gran.

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago

For some reason they look incredible ๐Ÿคค

https://minnetonkaorchards.com/pink-grapes/

if it's an old vine then it's not a new cultivar. I think they are Cardinal Grapes

they look sweet and tasty

I forgot to put the tinfoil on the afternoon-sun-facing windows and screen doorways off with blanket curtains. This mild summer caught me slipping.

(I can't just shut doors because cat accesses different things)

Im considering a walk around the block to get some air but it's so oppressive

Edit: It wasn't worth it. I sheepishly came back home and sat on the couch.

[โ€“] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

I was thinking along similar lines, I opened the door and went yeah nah.

[โ€“] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

Yeaaaaaah the 4 walls are starting to close in hey.

[โ€“] [email protected] 6 points 8 months ago
