I was asked this at work recently "as an icebreaker" and I'll say now what I said then:

This is me and my white goose familiar.

A weevil. They're so cute. And they can sneak around.....I guess if anything happened to them they could magically regenerate. Or a kitty. But might I also suggest, an elf owl? They're the smallest owl species. :D

I know it would be conspicuous but I would love a capuchin monkey so it could help me fetch things.

Canada goose. You know why.

Bernese Mountain dog for sure. I love those, and I know I would get along with it.

Polar bear, because people would leave me the fuck alone.

A crow because corvids are intelligent, social, and sassy 🖤

My shadow. I have had to kill too many loved ones and I will never own an individual again.

Cats are honestly overpowered so I agree. They also have fluffy little tummies that you can bury your face in and get clawed to shreds

I'd go with a cockroach. Can fly, hide anywhere, survive anything, and report to me for juicy gossips.

If it isn't limited to, like, real animals, I'd want a faerie dragon from D&D.

Racoon, then it can help do things and steal shit for me.
