I'm watching Righteous Gemstones now, which is fitting, since he is a gem

Hes about my favorite contempoarary actor, I will watch ANYTHING he is in.

Which is why I watched that godawful dramedy sit-com nonsense he had for a couple of seasons. I don't even remember the name, and I cant even be bothered to Google it. I get it, he wanted to nail a hit TV series for 5 or 6 seasons, and collect fat royalty checks for the rest of his life, but that show was a dog, from start to finish. A huge waste of his prodigious talents.

I'm still a fan, though. My favorite of his roles might be the foppish vice principle on Vice Principals. He was hilarious in it, and I loved when he'd argue with his mother-in-law in Korean. I always wondered if he was hollering real Korean, or just making it up. I suspect it was real.

The Unicorn?

It was an interesting show to see so many actors just being normal people at a table.

For example, I'd never seen Jason Mantzoukas not being zany before.

But the show itself was just bland.

Was that what it was called? Bland is a good word for it, even the title was bland. No wonder I forgot it so badly, that even when you said it, I didn't remember it.

I just remember it from the premise. A good dad who was widowed, and as such is not a divorcee with toxic attachments. The almost impossible to find guy, a unicorn.

The premise is slightly toxic itself and not that interesting. As I recall, my wife liked it.

And throw in an awesome Sam Rockwell monologue...

My wife made me watch that scene last night as I do love me some Waltoj Goggins, but she didn't realize I also love me some Sam Rockwell!
