Many folks on the Fediverse got random messages from "Nicole" always starting with the string how she's a 29yo Polish girl from Toronto and inviting people over to her socials.
They come from various throwaway accounts. I personally got about 6 or 7 of those.
As Fediverse doesn't currently have a robust framework for combating such behavior, this poses a new challenge for the devs. In the meanwhile, this has become a local meme

I like that it is "nicole101" like a tutorial showing you the scam early, so that when you see the og nicole you can already know it's a scam even though there is no btc there.
I'd love to see a crypto scam that would send money back with the message along the lines of "okay, you shouldn't have done this. Here's your money, don't fall for that stuff again"
