I didn't renew my F1TV subscription for this season. So far the ๐ดโโ ๏ธ life is working out ok. Not as many features, not as much fuckery. Always a trade off.

This is unbelievably awful. Fuck off with that greed. I'm probably gonna pay it, too. Following races without the full Multiviewer setup is just not the same.
Awh no, I was actually happy to pay F1TV for their service! Guess I'll pirate instead, the stupid bastards.
And so enshitification marches on. (Not referring to MultiViewer!)
Yup, refuses to play on Firefox now...
Itโs really annoying when companies do this. Itโs like they are begging us to choose piracy instead.
Yeah that's the standard operating procedure for all these services: enter the market cheap with awesome features, once you have a foothold increase the prices, then lock existing features behind a more expensive premium tier, increase the prices even more, remove more features, add multiple tiers that all have "holes" in the features somebody could reasonably want so one must buy multiple tiers and/or buy the platinum plan, cut down on costs like "giving the service your users paid for", add a superior platinum tier, make a creeptocoin
You forgot the worse one, add ads galore everywhere that you can't skip. So after they add that it makes more sense to pirate it, you get better quality and you "own" it forever.
With that said I really like that they are doing 4k, even if limited to 2 devices for now...Wish they would improve the overhead cams to 4k, but at least we get 1080p
Multiviewer is great, but pretty much only works with the apple vision pro the way it's supposed to work, otherwise it's kinda difficult to setup and match up the streams correctly. Hope with the new feature some healthy competition happens - and yeah one is opensource, but if it becomes much better they will get a nice offer to be bought out. I wouldn't even mind paying separately for it if needed.
