Surprised me to see replies defending it.

I have zero clue. I thought this would even convince them to leave. Maybe some misguided thought of providing truth to the MAGAts who will never accept it?

Snopes should take this opportunity to post once a day that the best way to know if something's true or not is to leave Xitter.

I'm just glad they've got something on the Fediverse so I don't have to go to Xitter.

I didn’t have to DM random people on X but I did have to go through the account lockout support process 4 times and it took 3 months before I finally got someone to respond to my request at twitter. I then deleted my account 5 minutes later

Damn. I think I left at the perfect time. As soon as Space Karen took over, I deleted my account.

Imagine Support that sucks so much that you end up paying $1000 a month for premium support, only to still have to basically social engineering your way back into your account by messaging random employees.

Yeah. I even tagged Snopes asking if they got their 1000 back since they already had it for free but they didn't response (which isn't a surprise. it is a company. lol ) My money is on they didn't.

I can't wrap my head around a service being so much shit but people still forking some cash to them.
I know for a company, $1000 is change but still.
$1000 for a glorified support ticket that gets auto-closed by some AI is fucking bullshit.
