Framework has just announced an ortholinear keyboard for their Framework 16 laptop. It looks like it would be easy to develop any layout with it, as each key is a separate module.

What's exactly "ergonomic" about it?

Kinda remarkable that they are the first to do such a thing... it's like they actually care, and are bold enough to experiment.

When the keyboard becomes both columnar/ortholinear (AKA: keys are in up/down straight lines) and when it also becomes staggered (AKA: each column is ,moved up or down slightly so it matches the length of your fingers), then I am buying a framework so hard.

They're releasing individual switches, so only a matter of time before someone makes one. It'll have to be one row shorter though for the layout to fit the space.

I was just looking for if they made one! was disapointed, but I guess I just needed to wait a day.
