Not sure if I'm posting to the right place since I think this is a lemmy.ml federation problem. I was subscribed to c/[email protected] but hexbear renamed itself to chapo.chat, so updates are now going to c/[email protected]. I try to subscribe to that from lemmy.ml and it says "community not found". I can view it directly on chapo.chat and while it's low activity, there is at least 1 newer post there than on .ml's feed of hexbear. Help?

We are very likely moving to hexbear.chat. federation is turned off until we move. Feel free to register for an account!

Thanks. What's wrong with the old domain, hexbear.net ?

there was some issues with the domain ownership but now we have it back, so we will turn federation on probably this week

Hexbear/chapo federation is turned off until further notice. It is as-yet unknown whether they will change the domain name before refederating, but last I heard they probably will change it to hexbear.chat.

They don't appear to have federation enabled yet.

have they refederated with everyone already?

Isn't the hexbear federation whitelist only?

I wouldn't be surprised if they screwed that up during the migration since it was done in quite a bit of a hurry.
