First time I've heard about this.
Cast-wise I'm not familiar with the leads but the supporting cast seems good.
The writer and director have worked together a bunch, largely in animation, and released Kubo and the Two Strings which was fantastic.
This could work. My guess is He-Man fans will enjoy it and everyone else will find it meh.
Kubo came out just a short while after I had discovered, and learned that I loved, shamisen music. It was a great boon.
I too like my crossguard to be all weight and no protection.
