Moderator Guidelines

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.

The funniest part is I don't think of myself as femboy or trans but ads seem to think I am (and increasingly so). They also think I am a furry and they are spot on lmao... Really makes me wonder if I am living in denial ngl

Clip on tail? Why even bother.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I want the set on the left.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I recommend getting both since the one on the left is just thigh highs and accessories, and the one on the right is just a dress and bows. Best to get both and combine them together into one outfit.

I recommend not buying from temu and instead buying fabric and seizing the means of femboyification

It knows you've been researching Linux distros.

I'm using Nyarch of course :3

Nothing wrong with wearing these kinds of outfits, they are very comfortable and also adorable. I say why not try it out, you might end up liking them and it's not like it'll hurt anything.

I wouldn't recommend getting them from Temu though, in my experience from buying from Temu quality can be very hit or miss. Especially when it comes to things like clothing. Sometimes you get good stuff, sometimes you get crappy stuff that's thin and falls apart very easily. I recommend higher quality brands for clothing like that, but Temu can be okay if all you want to do is try it out to see how the look suits you.

curious what y'alls sources are for good quality femboy gear

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago

I get my thigh highs from Sockdreams (I got a few cable-knit ones from Amazon), skirts I've gotten from Amazon, a few from Etsy, and some from thrift stores. Oversized hoodies I've just gotten on Ebay.

Yeah, I don't buy from sites like Temu for quality reasons I just found the ad hilarious and scrolled through the other offers.

On a site note I'll crosspost it tomorrow (set myself a reminder) because I'll be going to bed now and I don't post before sleeping because I cannot quickly react to comments. :3

Stop wearing this stuff. It's too sexy and I can't stand it.

I want the one on the left so bad :3c

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Why not combine them togehther. Wear the ears, tail, and thigh highs from the left, as well as the dress and bows from the right. Would look rad as hell.

Wait I can view the history of stuff I interacted with. Not sure tho if swiping through counts as "interaction".

Edit:

Nooouuu, it didn't count as "interaction" :<

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 days ago

Gonna find it myself maybe, rn I'm just too lazy. Nonetheless I can't buy it for now even if I wasn't lazy unf

[–] [email protected] 12 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Okay but have you considered how cute you would look dressed in those kindsa outfits?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

But what if they are too cute for me? :(

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Nonsense, clothes can't be too cute for you, they're clothes and lack the ability to determine any worthiness of a given wearer. The only thing you have to fear is looking so cute that other people try to give you compliments and talk to you.

it'd look good if it wasnt a white t-shirt with the accessories as a cheap printed-on image

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago

it'd look good if it wasn't a white t-shirt with the accessories as a cheap printed-on image

Not everything on Temu is a t-shirt scam, a lot of it is just terrible quality. It'll look exactly like what you ordered but it will feel very cheap and thin. Sometimes it might even feel fine but just won't last or be physically as durable.

What's wrong with a proper trailer trash look

AFAT: Assigned Female at Temu

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago

One doesn't need to be female in any capacity to wear comfy cute clothes.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 5 days ago (1 children)

2 years ago I made a joke about this to my boyfriend as well (though it was Aliexpress who send me a mail after buying some tech stuff). This year I discovered I really like comfy socks ... and I may have ordered a skirt as well. Not worn it yet, but it is here. Slowly & steady 😂

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 days ago

I see a pattern emerging here lmao

That is the incorrect tail mounting mechanism and you know it
